About me: I am a 49yo male that moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan from the cornfeilds of Illinois. I collect rocks and minerals and am a lapidary (that means I cut and polish gems) and silversmith. I sell my jewelry work as well as mineral specimens and gem rough. I have two beautiful kids that mean the world to me, and are the most important thing in my life. When I was younger, I followed the Grateful Dead around and traveled extensively throughout the US. I got to go to a lot of classic rock collecting places throughout the country and collect there. I now have a rare disease called Interstitial Cystitis, as well as chronic pancreatitis, (I had to give up beer because of this one, but I kept other vices.) and a few other immune response problems including rhuematoid arthritis, and I don't travel very well anymore, but still live a pretty active lifestyle. I love to go out rockhounding and am an avid fisherman, two things that led me too settle in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Also, the people here are friendlier than any place I've ever been to in the country. Since I've moved here, I've also taken up hunting and trapping, and although I don't get out as much as I'd like, I've been enjoying both. If you ever get up this way, drop me a note and I'll take you out rockhounding for iron or copper minerals. Please visit my website here: Celliach's Website
Who I'd like to meet: Anybody and everybody. I'd like to make some new friends to go with my new home.
i would be incredibly interested! i dont even care what they look like, i can always use more beads, i dumped a whole box of my nicest ones on the ground the other day and have to sort through 17 different kinds now! :( gonna take me all week probably! and i was almost done with a new purple agate necklace *sigh*
my mom stuck it into my head the phrase "love beads". i like that name alot better than forcing myself to say seed beads all the time :P haha, i guess you can call them love beads for real though, because i do just want random beads, whatever anyone has that they want to trade :) haha
i am LOVING that ring you have in your default! so gorgeous!

Thank you for accepting my friend invite. Brand new to MySpace. Browsed and browsed and browsed for members who share my interests in both semiprecious type gemstones and jewelry designing.
Not having any luck with finding related groups to join. I found quite a few gemstone and jewelry design groups, but even the ones with hundreds of members had absolutely zero activity. If you are a member of a jewelry design type of group where the members are sharing and learning about jewelry designing, please let me know..
For the most part I am just taking some time to say hello to new friends here. If there is anything you have learned or are utilizing within MySpace that is helpful to you for gemstones, jewelry design or business networking, please let me know. Would be greatly appreciated.
