She just finished filming a feature, “Autodoc” which is due out next year. She came into acting by way of her husband, writer John Giblin who she met 35 years ago while both were serving in the Air Force. Upon her discharge, and with the encouragement of her husband, she ventured into “Show Biz”. She has been an actor, painter, accountant, wife, mother, business woman, and has jumped out of airplanes. He soon moved to Los Angeles where he worked in various independent films and was accepted into the famed comedy school, The Groundlings. Over the summer of 2005, he regularly auditioned for opportunities which led to his being cast in the comedy, "Date Movie."

JP HUBBELL (Ensemble). After earning a Theatre degree from the University of Minnesota, JP wasted no time honing his craft by appearing in numerous plays around the Twin cities, such as WEST SIDE STORY, PICNIC, and ROMEO AND JULIET. A highlight of his time there was winning an Ivy award for Best Actor for his performance of the title role in BILLY BUDD. Upon moving to Los Angeles, JP continued his love for the theatre, starring in a myriad of works such as Of MICE AND MEN at the Laurel Canyon outdoor amphitheatre, SUNDAY BREAKFAST and THE VIGIL at the Chamber Theatre, LOVE ACTS, and the award winning BENT at the Coast Playhouse. Prior to A PROVIDENTIAL OCCURENCE, JP was part of last year’s hit 10 NAKED MEN at the Cast Theatre. In addition to his theatre credits, JP has a long list of television guest starring roles, and a recurring spot on THE WEST WING. JP also had the privilege of being part of a cast that won 2 SAG Awards for Best Ensemble during his 3 seasons playing paramedic Lars Audia on ER. Currently, he can be seen in his recurring role as the S.W.A.T. team commander on C.S.I. Miami.

AARON BARRERA (Chardonay). After completing the two-year Acting Program at the Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy, Aaron participated in “The Mikado” where he became very familiar with make up, wigs and loud costumes. ANDREW TAVONI (Salvatore). Andrew is pleased to return to the theater, his first love, after a long hiatus where he focused primarily on television. Specifically, he focused his bloodshot eyes on a 15" flat-panel TV screen while watching back-to-back episodes of "Snapped" and "The Golden Girls." Andrew's credits include a regional Toyota commercial where he plays the straight dude "bummed about not getting the Toyota-driving babe." His upcoming semi-autobiographical one-man show, "My Life; My Manure," chronicles a childhood being raised by Italian-American mushroom farmers in a Quaker community. An award-winning graphic artist by trade, Andrew is an aspiring voice-over performer, comic actor and hopes to gain enough weight to be cast on "The Biggest Loser." PAUL ST0RIALE (Ensemble). Paul was raised in Chicagoland, where he performed for three years in the perennial hit comedy, "Tony n' Tina's Wedding" playing Tina's brother Joey. Recently, Paul directed the West Coast Premiere of "TWIST" starring Alexandra Billings, a musical for which he flew to New York to obtain the rights, by begging the writer. Paul also produces, writes and directs his own creation, "One Night Stands: The Sex Comedies," which performs nightly in North Hollywood. While living in the Windy City, Paul was a Chicago finalist the first two seasons of NBC's "Last Comic Standing" (now he just talks about it). Paul hopes to one day write for television, or bust! He thanks John and everyone involved in this production! Dream it? Do it!

ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM

JOHN PATRICK TRAPPER (Playwright). John Trapper, a self-professed theatre queen has been involved in some form of Theatre for many years, having written and produced plays beginning about fifteen years ago, at the published advice of Tony Kushner “if you can’t find someone to produce your work, produce it yourself” (paraphrased). That turned out to be the best piece of advice ever written, as has removed the middle man in many aspects of his life. At that time, he created the first live ongoing sitcom in partnership with the Actor’s Center Theatre in Philadelphia called “Curse the Night I Did That Woman”. Months later he moved to Boston forming his new company “Open Lewdness Productions”, which produced critically acclaimed “How to be a Fairy (the Guide to Gayness for Wannabees)”, and “Inside Andrew’s Head” (a semi-fictional account of Andrew Cunanan’s killing spree that ended with Gianni Versace). He has attended approximately 700 Universities including SUNY Fredonia, Temple University, and Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. For the past seven years he has been the Adviser for Student Media at California State University Long Beach, overseeing the campus Newspaper, Radio Station, Yearbook, and Video Production areas. He is currently working on a satirical self-help book “Growing Old Gayfully (it Ain’t Gonna Happen)”.

JULIE NUNIS (Director). Mrs. Nunis received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from the University of Texas at Austin. She continued her studies at The Actor’s Center in New York, concentrating on Shakespeare, Clown and Voice. As assistant to Broadway Producer, Joan Stein, Mrs. Nunis was wonderfully exposed to professional theatre in Los Angeles, assisting on Steve Martin’s PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE (NY, San Francisco & Chicago productions,) RUTHLESS! AIDS Benefit with Bernadette Peters, and Andrea Martin’s NUDE, NUDE, TOTALLY NUDE among others. A former member of West Coast Ensemble, she learned the ropes of 99-seat theatre in Los Angeles, Co-Producing Ira Levin’s DEATHTRAP, and Terrence McNally’s THE LISBON TRAVIATA. She wrote, developed and performed The Bookie’s Daughter for webisode pioneer producer, Sandy Kaye’s ONLINEVOICE.COM and Associate Produced the low budget film, FLAMINGO DREAMS starring Terry Kiser, Richard Moll and Dee Wallace Stone. Along her journey, the great beyond peppered her career with acting roles, giving her the chance to work with great directors like Ivan Reitman and Lawrence Kasdan and landing a recurring role on the Lifetime series STRONG MEDICINE. Currently she can be seen in Todd Lubitsch’s short film THE BLOOD OF THE CROSS, currently on the film festival circuit. In her free time, she does the neighborhood carpool (a job she never thought she would love, but does,) loses herself in home decorating magazines and has written a children’s book called THE HICCUP GIANT, which is now in search of a publisher. She also occasionally works in the office of Steve Martin. Special thanks to Mark Nunis and their two daughters for their unconditional support. A heartfelt thanks to “Trapper” and Mel for their faithful support and positive attitude during pre-production and rehearsals, and a bow to the wonderful actors that made this show exciting to work on. Lastly, thanks to YOU for supporting the theatre arts. We are here because of your graciousness.

About me:

About The Show
Patrick Callahan was minding his own business looking for sex at the local gay cruise spot when Zackery Simon (who was doing the same thing) inadvertently ran over him with his SUV – twice! Zackery flees the scene leaving the difficult-to-identify corpse to be discovered. When Patrick's family, 3000 miles away is notified, his drunken, bitter mother reunites with her estranged, conservative sister to make the trip to put their loved one to rest. The two widowed women reminisce about their upbringing and begin to see each other anew. As the two women make plans to memorialize Patrick, the local Funeral Director (Salvatore), who is trying to find his own niche in the Hollywood Industry, excitedly assist the two in producing the grand story of Patrick's life. Salvatore, who cannot admit that people die, brings Patrick back to life through what he believes to be high tech animatronics as the sisters prepare for a bizarre cast of characters parading through the “Six Feet Under Spa." Meanwhile, Zackery and his best friend Barry have a great deal of remorse … that they did not ascertain whether or not Patrick was cute, so they do what any hit and run perpetrators would do, they go to the funeral home. Reluctantly the two shallow queens are forced to interact with the sisters and bring them up to speed on what Patrick's world was probably like. These opinions are affirmed by a parade of friends that any mother would be mortified to meet including: a Jehovah’s Witness Drag queen; a Priest with Benefits; a Despondent Bathhouse Manager; endless non-English speaking Latinos and three hair dressers who each insist Peter would have said he was their client. In the end, it is never revealed who caused Patrick's demise, but Zackery does achieve moral clarity with the help of the Angel Troll (who is too fat to sit on Zack’s shoulder), and gives the sisters reason to believe that their beloved Patrick lived a meaningful life. The day is a complete success for the two queens when they make it to Two-for-Tuesday with fifteen minutes to spare.

About The Playwright And Creative Team
Playwright John Trapper, who was recently diagnosed with a serious illness and had contemplated his own funeral, is the author of the show. He is best known back home in Boston for his maverick production company, Open Lewdness Productions, and its critically-acclaimed theatrical offering, "How To Be A Fairy (The Guide To Gayness For Wannabees)." Critics hailed the production as "a zany treat!" Another Trapper-penned play, "Inside Andrew's Head," based on spree killer Andrew Cunanan's legacy, received national media attention. Trapper, along with creative collaborators Julie Nunis, Melonie Mack and Andrew Tavoni, have recently launched Wide Stance Productions, a West Coast version of Trapper's original Boston-based company. Each of the creative partners have a passion for live theater and enjoy the experience of bringing issues concerning the clash of straight and gay worlds to light in an entertaining manner.
