To celebrate our first 27 releases on Section 27 Netlabel, we proudly present to you "Sectioned", a free compilation of 27 tracks, amounting to 2 hours across two discs of twisted electronic beats, discordant melodies, haunting passages, broken ambience, bending senses of time and space, microscopic glitches, pounding bass frequencies, sounds between sounds, the human voice and the audible sensation of music dissolving in acid. This is the sound of your mind's eye. This is the sound of the Sectioned... Strap yourself in and enjoy the experience.
Also features a 75 minute bonus disc "Sectioned : Nonimxs", including 9 remixes of selected Section 27 artists by Nonima and 2 original tracks created by Silent Snow and Nina Kardec using existing Nonima tracks.

Science is supposed to be different from art, but when it comes to bird songs it's conclusions seem strangely poetic. There are no answers at the end of bird song papers, just further dreams and guesses as to the elusive reasons why. It is no surprise to scientists at the summing-up stage of their work often turn to poetry, from Garstan's light verse to Skutche's yearning for a universal harmony that might hold the whole wild universe together. The great whale scientists Roger Payne spent one afternoon, listening to, Messiaen, humpback whale song, and bird songs, and this led him into a swirling reverie in which sound, structure and emotion coalesced " Is it possible that the universe sings?" this scientist was not afraid to write " Is it possible that God is the song of the universe?" Before we are artist or scientists we are human beings, and when we confront phenomena as enigmatic and tenacious as bird song, no single one of our facilities is enough. The beautiful songs of life are older then our entire species, and they will continue long after all human music is dissolved. If the works of God are to be heard on Earth, there is no better place to find them than in the deep intricacies of incomprehensible bird song.
From "Why Birds Sing" by David Rothenberg

Hi just dropping you a brief message. You're from wales, right? I used to live near Machynlleth in Wales, as I said before though, I come from Scottish/Irish family and I try at all times to go back to celtic roots with my music. I try and blend rock with celtic music, like Led Zeppelin, only more celtic than them even. I hope you check out my tunes, it's all just temporary at the moment, I will get some proper produced work up there soon. I really like the page, and love the tunes!
