    Celticfeminist's Interests
GeneralI'm like a fart in a whirlwind. Meaning, I'm interested in just about everything and those interests change from minute to minute.
MusicIf it speaks to me on some level, I'll listen to it.
MoviesSee music. Except substitute films.
TelevisionWe're poor and without TV. But past shows I've loved include Buffy, Angel, Firefly (Hello Whedon obsession), Deadwood, Doctor Who, Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls, Rescue Me, Arrested Development, Charmed (yes, I know it's horrible. I love it anyway. Shut up.), Supernatural (see Charmed. Shutup.), A Bit of Fry and Laurie, Spaced, Jeeves and Wooster, Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, Coupling (British), The Office (British), The Office (American), Freaks and Geeks, Extras, House, Battlestar Galatica (current), etc. Thank you, god, for DVDs and NetFlix.
BooksBooks are the elaborate metamorphic, metaphysical needle in my vein. Sprawled on the closest horizontal surface, I ingest, inject, inhale books, lick their spines and fondle their pages. I am a book junkie; a language addict; a word fetishist. In short, I read. A lot.
HeroesMy sister. Jane Goodall. Carl Sagan. Elizabeth Cady Stanton. MLK. Sojourner Truth. Gloria Steinem. Fozzie the Bear. P.G. Wodehouse. Charles Darwin. Rosa Parks. Coretta Scott-King. Yoda. Anne Frank. Elie Weisel. Gandhi. Amma. My friends. Anyone who lives their dream, who fights the good fight on behalf of the poor, neglected, ignored, overlooked, powerless, voiceless, invisible masses. Those who live the convictions of their beliefs. Those who are willing to be who they are without apology or pretense. Those who make me laugh. Those who make me proud. And the occasional muppet.

   Celticfeminist's Blurbs
About me:
Self-deluded writer. Imagination fiend. Lover of great stories in all forms. Laughter-addicted and geek fetishist. Feminist without apology. Rampant liberal with a dose of self-discovery and doubt. Vegetarian. Environmentalist. Agnostic amalgam with a spiritual longing. A person in search of a home, a culture, a niche. Consummate animal person and a 10-year, devoted veteran of animal rescue and rehabilitation. Defender of the maligned, abused, and misrepresented, both two- and four-legged. Incurably, insatiably curious. Turned on by science, well-turned phrases, art that gives you pause, and the pursuit of knowledge for knowledge's sake. Unabashed, irredeemable, and incorrigible lover of books, language, and words. Scientist by brain and training, literary devotee by heart and hobby. Lovely, silly, irreverent, geeky, sensible, snarky.
Who I'd like to meet:
If you're looking for snark, witticisms, random pop culture references, friendship, and the occasional rant, welcome. I don't know how often I'll post here, but you can always check out my occasional writings on Livejournal or look me up on Facebook. You can also take a gander at my photos on Flickr.

Since I can't comment on livejournal b/c I'm too lazy to join...a baby has never been a baby before and doesn't know how to be a baby or what is expected of a baby. A baby is anxious, but learns...a baby has ohmygods too...but I don't think anyone is foolish enough to not be a baby b/c it is scary and unknown...food for thought...love ya!
