Celtic Horizon Celtic Band are Neil Nicholson and Bob Ferguson the two lead vocalists of Beggars Row international Celtic Folk Band from Scotland.
Having performed worldwide for years at festivals,theatres,TV, radio and more Celtic Horizon are now pushing hard into the European market and recently completed a successful tour of the Netherlands where we were immediately re-booked for a march 2008 tour with even more concerts next time.
Obviously the big question from Beggars Row fans was "what would Celtic Horizon be like compared to Beggars Row"?
Well in some ways Celtic Horizon are a cut down version of Beggars Row as many of the songs performed by the Beggars were first tested out in the Celtic Horizon concerts and then brought to the the Beggars.In fact many of the songs on the Beggars Row Cds first saw life at Celtic Horizon concerts.
In saying that there is no way two guys can match five guys so there are differences with other forms of humour and different songs as well.
More prominent is the variety of instruments used as Neil sings,plays Guitar,keyboards and mandolin.
Bob sings,plays guitar,mandolin,whistles,harmonica and bodran.
Like Beggars Row the emphasis is on having fun and mixing the music with traditional songs, contemporary and our own songs and tunes.
Celtic Horizon also dress in tartans similar to Beggars Row but different as well
Celtic Horizon have two Cds out just now the first one is called "Songs of the Celts" and their recent Cd "Celtic Love songs" was successfully launched during the Netherlands tour and the first runs sold out!.
Their next and third CD "Happy Celtic Songs and Tunes" is due out in December 2007.

Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
