John of Celtic Ways's Blurbs |
About me:
I work as a guide and manager for Celtic Ways in Ireland, a tour and event company based near the Keash Caves between Ballymote and Boyle on the Sligo and Roscommon border.
Our most popular tour is "Around Bhride's Garden", a tour of Ireland that includes visiting ancient sacred sites in such as passage cairns, stone circles, sacred wells and sheela na gigs.
We also explore traditions of goddess and saint Brigid, and join in workshops to learn ancient straw crafts (such as making Brigid crosses), ancient music (especially harp music), folk drama, along with wild food and herb gathering and preparing.
We also do traditional music tours, writing tours, meditation tours, celtic christianity pilgrimages, druid shamanism tours and photography tours.
As much as possible of where we visit and what we do is filmed.
You can find more out about Celtic Ways at celticways.com where you can also read more about me, including how and why I created "Celtic Ways"
|
Who I'd like to meet:
harpers, bards, storytellers, people who visit or would like to visit sacred places in Ireland, folks who lead groups on shaman, meditation, yoga, visualisation and creative writing journeys, people who still practice traditional crafts such as straw crafts, thatching, wild food gethering
