About Dan Carollo: Dan is a Seattle-area acoustic finger style and rhythm guitarist (currently living in County Wicklow, Ireland) who performs
a blend of contemporary and traditional Irish/American tunes (primarily in
DADGAD tuning).
Dan Carollo performs solo and accompaniment Irish-style guitar and has been playing guitar for over 25 years.
In 2004, Dan was selected "Northwest Folk Artist of the Month" on KBCS 91.3. and performs annually at Seattle’s Northwest Folklife Festival.
His music was also selected along with several other local artists to debut the City of Seattle's "On Call" music program in 2006, which features the music of Northwest U.S. artists.
He has performed or recorded with numerous musicians, including uilleann piper Eliot Grasso, fiddle player Randal Bays, button accordion player Daniel Possumato, Suzanne Taylor (of An Tua), Michael Connolly of Captain Gravel, and singer and folklorist Stewart Hendrickson.
Music from his second CD release, "Miles From Dublin", as well as some original scoring was included in the film "The Dark Horse" by Seattle film director Cornelia Duryée Moore, which premieres at the Seattle International Film Festival in June 2008.
Dan Carollo's work will also be featured in a forthcoming Victory Music CD compilation of Pacific Northwest artists.
Dan's recent release of "Miles from Dublin" was recently added to the Irish Traditional Music Archive in Dublin, Ireland and listed in the January/February 2007 issue of "The Journal of Music in Ireland".
Dan currently lives in Bray, Ireland after relocating from Seattle, Washington in December 2007.

Hey Dan! Actually, I AM on Facebook, and very active there...look me up, or I'll look you up :) Life's been kind of in a state of flux so far this year - my husband and I separated in February, and I have been busy helping my Dad build the house that I am now living in. Things are difficult, but I am hopeful for things to be better in days to come.
