The A.D.'s were a punk rock band from Albany, NY, comprised of vocalist, Jim Furlong, and Bob Nati on guitars, along with an ever-changing rhythm section. They released three singles and an LP on Blue Lunch Records between 1980-87. The "Living Downtown" 7 inch was released in 1980 with Chris Melick on drums, and Mark Wilken on bass, gaining the band recognition in the local punk scene. This was followed up by the "Alone Again" and "More Than Once" 7 inches, with George Lipscomb taking over on drums, and Eric Van Sleet joining Bob on guitar. After five years and another line-up change, their first (and only) LP, "Know Hard Feelings" was released in 1987, with Jim Roberts on drums, and T. Rice on bass and keys.
"They are four. Individuals with different attitudes and opinions. Drawn to the sound of blazing guitars, primitive rhythms. HARD ROCK. Not metal. Metallic. Metallic love songs for the loved and unloved, hopeful and pessimistic. Love isn't fair. Hope is hard work. Commitment is maturity. To survive you must know hard feelings."
