Mr. Kennedy’s music hit and he came out to the ring. Kennedy’s got a pretty crazy look in his eye. Why do I have a feeling this is going to be great? Kennedy told us who he was and that he SHOULD be the WWE Champion. He said the reason he couldn’t be WWE Champion because he couldn’t cash in money in the bank. He blamed the people for making him compete when he wasn’t ready to. He said from this moment on, his actions will serve one man and only one man alone. He said that man would be the next WWE Champion and his name would be “MISTERRRRRR”. John Cena’s music hit and out came the champion.
Cena came in to the usual mixed reaction. He said it was the usual Monday night Raw except for this ‘new guy’. He extended his hand and welcomed him to the show. He said he couldn’t remember who he was. He said he remembered him as the guy with the microphone and then called him “Mr. Camel Toe”. These two have some pretty fantastic chemistry.
Cena said he heard a rumor that Kennedy liked to talk….. A lot. He said the rumor was that he was a big mouth. He told Kennedy to look around him, that this was Monday Night Raw and anything could happen on this show. He said sometimes all men had to stand on was their word. He said Kennedy blamed the fans and asked them if they were to blame. Of course they said nothing. Cena called him Kenney G., Colostomy bag, etc. Cena said Kennedy’s word was worthless and he didn’t trust him. Cena said there was one person responsible for throwing away the biggest moment in WWE history and that was “Mr dflkjdfqwerklj”.
King Booker’s music hit and he started giving us a ‘bravo’. Bookah said he was the only one royal enough to challenge Cena. Booker called us peasants. He is right. He put over his undefeated record against Cena in the champion of champions match as well as making Cena kiss his feet. Booker said on this day (royal proclamation coming in five seconds) he proclaimed a challenge to Cena for the WWE Championship.
Randy Orton’s music hit and he came out as well. Orton said since both were new to Raw and not that bright, that he would explain how things work on Raw. Orton said he had been around for a while on Raw and said he never had a one on one championship match with John Cena. He said these idiots could talk all they wanted, no one DESERVED a title shot more on the roster than him.
Lashley came out talking about cold, hard facts. Kennedy lost the MITB he said. Booker and Orton had lost their titles in the past. He never LOST his title and he wanted to take the title from Cena. Cena said they’d have to do something about that.
William Regal came out to the ramp and said he was in charge of Raw because Coach was on holiday. He said after tonight, we would have a #1 contender and a contract signing in the ring. It’s going to be ‘beat the clock’. All five men would compete in singles matches and whomever won his match in the quickest time would compete for the WWE Championship at the Great American Bash against John Cena.
Regal said Orton’s beat the clock match was next.
It’s Lashley-Cena at the Bash. Ugh.
Lashley paced around for a bit before they showed John Cena on his way to the ring.
William Regal came out to the ring to introduce us to the main event at The Great American Bash. Lashley was introduced as the champion and he signed the contract Regal was holding. Cena came out and said he was looking forward to the signing.
Kennedy and Booker came running out saying everything was a farce. Cena and Lashley fought off the villains to the crowds pleasure. Cena signed the contract only to get speared out of his boots by Lashley. Lashley posed with the WWE Championship over the fallen Cena.
Our parting shot was Lashley smiling like he was in a kindergarten classroom.

ECW on Sci Fi Results - Cena vs. Nitro
First, WWE Champion John Cena visited Raw for the first time in more than a year, challenging the new ECW World Champion Nitro to a Champion vs. Champion exhibition match.
Allegedly suffering from a high fever and cold symptoms, Nitro took it to the WWE Champion. He showed traces of new-found hardcore improvisation, throwing the Chain Gang commander into the ringside steps and choking him on the ring ropes.
Nitro’s attempts to grind Cena down just couldn’t close the deal, as Cena battled back, setting up Nitro for a FU, but Nitro was able to counter it by flipping out of the slam and sending a kick to Cena’s head from the second rope.
But Nitro could not capitalize. As he set Cena on the top rope for a superplex, The Champ shoved Nitro down to the mat, and caught the ECW Champion with a leg drop from the top rope. Cena quickly hooked Nitro in the STFU submission to score the victory.

John Cena Set To Leave WWE Shortly?
John Cena has been telling people that he has a script in hand for a new WWE Films production that will begin filming in the fall. It will not be a sequel to The Marine.
If and when this thing does come to play, he'll most definitely have to take some time off from his WWE duties to shoot the film, or else face the burden of an incredibly taxing schedule. At the very least, he'll have to scale back on house shows and media appearances. When he filmed The Marine, he took about a month off. It should be interesting to see if he does what he did when he filmed The Marine in late 2004 where he'd fly out to Australia every week to film the movie, and then hop back on the plane to go back to the U.S. to appear at WWE shows. At the time, he was just starting to gain a lot of momentum to build for his eventual championship win at WrestleMania 21, which is why he didn't really take any time off. This time around, his spot is in safe-keeping and he'll still be the number one guy in the company if he decided to take some time off from his WWE schedule.

RAW Results - Benoit Tribute
Results:Remembering Chris Benoit
June 25, 2007
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - This week’s Raw was dedicated in loving memory to Chris Benoit and his family, who were found dead earlier Monday in their suburban Atlanta home. Instead of the planned broadcast, Raw was a three-hour retrospective on the career of the “Rabid Wolverine.”
Throughout the show, highlights of some of Benoit’s greatest professional moments were shown. Footage from his early days in Japan, ECW, WCW and WWE brought Benoit’s memory alive. From a 1990 New Japan clash with Jushin “Thunder” Liger to his WWE debut in January 2000, from his crowning moment at WrestleMania XX to his final WWE match one week ago, Benoit’s brilliant 22-year career was memorialized in retrospect.
WWE Superstars and officials also spoke about the legacy of their fallen friend. Best friends Dean Malenko and Chavo Guerrero, Stone Cold, CM Punk,
John Cena and William Regal were among the many to express exactly what Chris Benoit meant to them and to the business of sports-entertainment.
As WWE Superstars and our fans alike begin to mourn the tragic passing of the Benoit family, Raw was a celebration of one of the greatest Superstars to ever set foot inside the ring.

John Cena races into tonight's Fast Cars finale
Cena races into 'Fast Cars' finale
By Kara A. Medalis
Written: June 24, 2007
The WWE Champion has a one in six chance at being a racing champion tonight. John Cena has advanced to the finals of Fast Cars and Superstars – The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race.
During the second half of this week’s semi-finals Accuracy Challenge, Cena advanced, along with singer Jewel and former NFL coach Bill Cowher. Volleyball player and model Gabrielle Reece was eliminated from the competition. NASCAR Nextel Cup driver Jamie McMurray was Cena’s instructor this week. The driver of the No. 26 Ford was quite impressed with Cena’s racing abilities, and called him an animal on the racetrack.
“You are crazy!” an energized McMurray told Cena, after witnessing sparks flying out from under The Champ’s stock car.
“Bill Cowher’s eating Chinese food and John Cena’s car is on fire!” yelled host Kenny Mayne.
It’s all in a day’s work for Cena. The WWE Champion finished first, a whopping 21 seconds ahead of his competition.
“I didn’t come to pussyfoot around the track,” Cena said with confidence.
Joining Cena, Jewel and Cowher in the finals is some stiff competition – former NFLer John Elway, skateboard legend Tony Hawk and rodeo champion (and Jewel’s boyfriend) Ty Murray.
The one-hour finale airs tonight at 7 p.m. on ABC. Stay tuned to WWE.com for complete coverage of Cena’s performance on Fast Cars and Superstars.

BREAKING IT DOWN
Championship Challenge Breakdown
By Zack Zeigler
Written: June 22, 2007
Vengeance: Night of Champions is this Sunday live on pay-per-view
Debate has spread like wildfire regarding who will walk out of the WWE Championship Challenge with the title in hand. Each Superstar involved has a case as to why they’ll emerge as the victor. In the end, it could come down to circumstance; but anything can happen in WWE, and banking on circumstance to bend in one’s favor is as foolish as taking someone in the match lightly. Below, in no particular order, is an analysis of what type of mentality each of the five potentially gold-bound Superstars will carry with them heading into Sunday’s WWE Championship Challenge.
Bobby Lashley:
After getting shipped to Raw in the draft, Lashley was immediately stripped of his ECW World Title. The hardships he faced to reclaim that championship were the equivalent of going through hell and back, as the late Mr. McMahon did everything in his billion-dollar power to keep the gold out of Lashley’s grasp. Without losing ECW’s top prize in the center of the ring like the fighting champion he’s proven to be, that leaves 273-pounds of angry muscle ready to throw some haymakers. Come Sunday, can vengeance be his?
King Booker:
Being sidelined by a neck-tweaking Tombstone through the announcer’s table from Undertaker sent the King to his quarters for months. Before having a chance to prove to SmackDown if King Booker would still reign supreme even after such a serious injury, the Draft put Booker with his Queen Sharmell on Raw.
In his first pay-per-view since returning from injury, questions regarding King Booker’s wind have come about. He’ll be competing with a rejuvenated Randy Orton, The Champ’s insatiable work ethic, Bobby Lashley’s determination to dominate and let’s not forget Mick Foley’s ability to go berserk at the sound of the ring bell. One has to wonder if ring rust will spoil his majesty’s victory, or if King Booker has something in store for the four “serfs” he’ll compete against.
Mick Foley:
Considering how many moons have passed since Foley competed in the ring, one could argue he’s the underdog. However, smart money wouldn’t count the Hardcore Legend out.
On Raw, Umaga rammed Foley’s head into the steel ring stairs. True to form, Foley refused medical attention afterward. However, it wasn’t the refusal that caught the attention of onlookers. It was the “sadistic” gleam in Foley’s eye. Rumors that something jarred yet another screw loose in the former World Champion’s head have some people speculating that Mick Foley circa 1998 had been resurrected. If that’s the case, Cena – and everyone else in the ring – must be taken that into consideration.
There’s no room for argument – in competition, when Foley’s off mentally, he’s as on as anyone in the business.
Randy Orton:
Since taking on his latest (and hopefully last) disciplinary action, the Legend Killer has vowed to WWE.com on numerous occasions that he’ll mow through any and all challengers to recapture the WWE Championship. With what can only seem to be lead in his boot, Orton has certainly made good on his promise thus far, leaving three Superstars out of action – including perennial WrestleMania main-eventer Shawn Michaels and ECW Original Rob Van Dam.
The self-assured, quick-tongued Orton hasn’t tightened his lips since returning from suspension, but has seemed to back his words up more aggressively than ever before. If odds were on the board, how couldn’t Orton be the frontrunner? He’s been virtually unstoppable, and even in defeat is just as dangerous (ask RVD if he’s recovered from the concussion Orton gave him). For months, Orton has claimed sticking it to those who say he’s not the talent he used to be is his only importance; on Sunday, he’ll have a chance to back that statement up.
WWE Champion John Cena:
And then there’s John Cena. You can never count The Champ out. As resilient as anyone who has competed in the ring, Cena's closest ally isn’t just that he’s as strong as an ox…but it’s his smarts that truly elevate him into a new stratosphere of greatness. If he’s outsized like when facing The Great Khali, he compensates with quickness. If he’s a step behind his opponent as he was when he faced Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 23, he relies on punishment and picking the right spots to strike. It’s as if his ability to adapt is unparalleled by anyone in sports-entertainment today.
Cena thrives on challenges, and with four top-tier Superstars hungry to rip the title away from him, it’s time for The Champ to once again outthink, outmaneuver and outlast his opponents in order to retain his title.
