    The journey of the Swedish metal band Centicore started in the winter of 2003 by firm intention from Niclas Lindblom to realize his visions of a solid metal band of high standard. Due to the urge for creating intense and expressional music, he contacted three other great musicians, Mattias Johansson on vocals, Robert Olofsson on drums and Simon Moberg on guitar. A time of composing and rehearsal took place, and in the summer of 2004 the band entered the studio to record five songs which are found on the first demo "Art of Sin". The result was impressive, and the immediate reactions from different listeners were quite overwhelming. In late fall of 2004 the drummer had a change of heart and left the band due to reasons unknown. Minor setbacks could not stop the strife, and so began the search for hungry and professional musicians in the local area. It was not long before the band got hold of Jens Gustavsson, a formidable drummer, and Mattias Lindh who entered the low frequency regions of Centicore's music. New material started to emerge with a natural sense of keeping the originality and the metal frenzy energy intact. The bands determination was to give the metal world what it longed for. In September of 2005 the moment came for Centicore to express what they have been creating. The attitude and the will to reach a new level of soundscaping were undisputed. The band recorded six new tracks for the critical acclaimed "Insanium" demo. The outcome was indeed satisfying for all involved parts. The songs were more varied and expressive from their original sounds. In the end of 2006 Simon's younger brother Adolf Moberg, started to play bass instead of Mathias when he decided to leave the band. The new blood of Centicore made the live experience even more energetic and powerful than before. The live shows, that are the core of Centicore's existence, quickly captured people's attention and their buzz started to build within the underground metal community. A continuation of musical contradiction between captivating melodies and sheer brutality were presented in early 2007 on their third album release called "Death's Parade". The identity of the music was now more uniformed, but still played with great variation. The new born straight forward philosophy still represents the style of Metal that Centicore creates today. The 7-Strings section of Centicore changed in early 2009 where Simon passed his guitar duties to Joakim Gustafsson. Joakim truly added some fresh energy to the band with competent guitar playing, and also with some furious singing abilities that for sure will add one more dimension to the future noise of Centicore. The latest recorded effort from the group was presented the second half of 2009, with the name of "Scars of the Watchers". This all self produced album shows the true energy of the band that instantly is undeniable upon first listen, and it is only going to evolve and improve. In the end, what matters for these musicians is creating metal that will last. The music and live show of Centicore, with its multi-layered attack of pure aggression, scathing melody and lyrical content will assault and infect anything that it comes in contact with.
