From humble beginnings on local student radio station LSRfm.com, Central beatz has served as a platform to channel the diverse talents of music production and DJing in Leeds. Now in its 5th year of conception, the family has grown to welcome more producers, covering a range of styles from drum and bass, breakbeat, downtempo, dubstep, and techno, thru to some downright bizarre tongue in cheek material. Central Beatz relishes in quality unsigned and fresh new music and aims to lay it down upfont and heavy to the masses.

The Central Beatz Club Night, currently residing in the notorious "Mine" venue of Leeds University Union, aims to provide ravers with quality music right thru from 9pm till 3am in the morning. Central Beatz also operates a soundsystem hire service in the Leeds area, catering for everything from small house parties to full blown raves. Using Logic System speakers, we guarantee to deliver a truly crisp audio experience (showing good tunes off to be good tunes, not just loads of bass with some rattly treble knocking around to keep time to). Several of the Central Beatz team are professional audio engineers and therefore we can provide engineering support if required.

"Ive just moved back to london after being in leeds for the last 4 years, and leeds has got a big free/house party scene. i went to an amazing outside one in 'The Hollys' forest Headingley in summer this year, they set up the soundsystem in the middle of a massive dip in the forest floor, hills all around it, when i arrived i looked over the top of the cliff and jus saw hundreds of people raving below!! it was sic!! walking through the forest to the clearing, they had lit candles you had to follow to get to the rave... one of my best parties! especially when sun started coming up. leeds in general has house partys evey week, in the Hyde Park & headingly area, Central Beats are a well known system. Lots of house parties as its students in that area, mostly top parties tho, as massive shared houses and normally big basements. one i went to in summer was a HUGE house with a great big garden with hedges surrounding it, sun shining and everyone was raving in the front garden!! mainley, DnB, Old Skool, phsy Trance, dub etc if you go out in leeds to any club for a night out, esp if its a dnb night (west indian centre- subdub/transmission/exodus), ask around and you'll soon find a free party for after......."
