About me:

Central Coast College is a private, coeducational, career-training institution. The College provides a specialized curriculum to meet the needs of students interested in professional preparation for careers in medical assisting, com¬puter office administration, medical office administration, accounting, and as pharmacy technicians. Central Coast College is located in Monterey County, one of California's most beautiful regions. Founded in the city of Salinas in 1983, the College is situated at the northern end of the world-famous Salinas Valley. It is approximately 20 miles from the scenic Monterey Peninsula, which is renowned for its picturesque coastline and world-famous golf courses. The College began in 1983 with a single program in business data processing. Computer office administration and general accounting programs were added during the mid-1980s to meet the growing needs for technically competent workers. In 1993, an increased need for medical office workers led to programs in medical billing and medical office administration. The College added the medical assisting program in 1997 and pharmacy technician program in 2005. Central Coast College participates in the Salinas Valley and Monterey Peninsula Chambers of Commerce, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Central Coast Human Resource Association, California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools, Career College Association, and various other professional organizations. The school is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET). Central Coast College participates in various programs of financial assistance. The College offers assistance in applying for the following federal programs: Federal Work-Study Program, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG), Federal Stafford Student Loan (Subsidized and Unsubsidized), Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS), Federal Pell Grant, Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Approved Enrollment of Veteran's Administration Students for Educational Benefits.
