About me: I'm not exactly great at writing about myself, but my profile hasn't really been updated in quite some time so I figured I could shake things up.
Things about me: I'm random and spontaneous, but tend to find comfort in larger plans. I have a very crude sense of humor. I love television and movies. I'm about as big of a nerd as you will ever find -- books are my friends. I am often fascinated with seemingly meaningless details. I love karaoke and I'm aware of my lack of musical ability. Food is amazing. I'm a perfectionist and tend to criticize anything that I don't think meets my standards. I like to believe that theory can actually become practice. I was born in Hawaii. I've been to 38 of the 50 states. Lots of movies and tv shows can make me cry. I'm obsessed with social/political/rhetorical theory. I was a swimmer for seven years. I'm very messy but can always find something when I need it. I love Russian.
Things I don't like: People who are self-absorbed. Math. The inability to sleep in. Poorly written books that should not have been published. Any form of oppression. Solitude. Cars with bright headlights driving behind me. Liars. Cheaters. Sleeping with socks on. Not being able to remember random details when they arise in conversation. The smell of plastic.
