The folks who I have loved, and even some that I have not. There are those that I have closely worked with such as.......
The Blackberry bushes, The New Prohibition Band, The Summerland Jam, The Head for the Hills bluegrass boys, my dear and talented friends Jess--Kendl---Joe---Phil and my own personal guru "The old clarinet player"-- Tom Russel, My amazingly gifted husband Dirk Ronneburg.......and also some bands like the Pixies, Led Zepplin, The Beatles, The Cure, Neko Case, Ani Difranco, Allison Krauss and the union station Band, Tori Amos, John Fahey, Django Rheinhart, Billy Holiday, I love Chopin,... and last but not least I am influenced by desire to do what I love for a living, and hope that one day I might break even. Just to break even would be heaven.
SOUNDS LIKE: The first drag while deciding to Paint the room red, Sipping to Savor, Being glad to leave it up to chance, Not letting feet leave the dance, A knock when theres a need and No pain when you bleed....
Born not too far from the Grand Canyon in Northern Arizona,
Cera Impala sang into the canyon, swam the river red and never ever went to bed.
A composer and inspired performer Cera Impala is comfortable in the limelight. Trained in the performing arts at Sarah Lawrence College and ethnomusicology at the Evergreen State College Cera is a vocalist, guitarist, banjoist and a-tune to the wanderings of a Japanese Shakuhachi. A prolific songwriter, Cera is recording her second solo album. A former member of the popular Northwest band The Blackberry Bushes and a current member of the The New Prohibition Band she enjoys frailing, flat-picking, finger-picking, fingerlicking, singing harmony and belting it out solo. These projects, similarly bound by their Americana/roots/old-time, have been a platform to showcase her very inspired work. While she has an adept ear for harmony she simultaneously creates complex hooking melodies haunting listeners with her compositions.
She currently resides in Berlin, Germany.

Hello, banjo-married girl ;-) nice foto - did you really marry in white? Have fun with your music, which I like very much (when do you come to our area next time?). Greetings from the Ruhr to you, your band and your son. Does he already play banjo or fiddle? ;-) Cheers, Sláinte, Prost, Detlef
"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
washed her with water, her – whipped by the wind.... At dawn, she woke, the sun dried her. Her skin had changed, rotten old crap. Oh, poor, poor old Mama, you lonely one. Who created you from iron and gave you such a rotten destiny?
