CEREMONY OF OPPOSITES
Ceremony of Opposites was formed in 2005 by As, Pascal and Marcel. Soon after the band was joined by Sander and the band was complete and ready to play. The style of the band is death-metal combined with influences from a.o. thrash-, viking- and black metal. In the songs you can hear the love the bandmembers have for bands like Cannibal Corpse, Vader, Amon Amarth and Arch Enemy.
In September 2005 the band entered the studio to record their first demo “The Fear Within” was recorded. At the end of 2006 the band re-entered the studio to record the first full length CD, called “Death’s Dominion”. “Death’s Dominion” was a step forward in the musical development of the band. No more clean vocals and stepping up the pace, without loosing the melodic aspect in the music.
The CD as well as the demo were supported by a lot of live shows in clubs and at festivals. Ceremony of Opposites is well known for their energetic live shows and interaction with the audience. They have shared the stage with a.o. After Forever, Born from Pain, Hail of Bullets, Sinister, Torture Squad and Trail of Tears. One of the highlights was the band’s performance at the Metalcamp-festival 2008 in Slovenia with bands like Arch Enemy, Iced Earth, Ministry and Morbid Angel.
In 2009 the band entered the studio to record “Seeds of Resurrection”. The CD will be released by Painkiller Records, who will help them to spread their musical message around. Also in 2009 the band had to face their first line-up change. Sander has left the band and his place behind the drumkit is taken by Tim (the Morgan Affair, Surmount, ex-Nihilistic, ex-Facial-Humiliation).
With the extra energy Tim is providing, the band is looking forward to get back on the road again to present their new album. “Seeds of Resurrection” will be released worldwide by Painkiller records in December 2009 / January 2010. !

Ja, het concert was goed in Antwerpen (wij waren een beetje te brutaal voor dat bar), leuk dat jullie hebben gekomen! Ik denk dat Erwin zei dat volgend jaar zullen wij samen spellen?
