Cesar Rios was born in Peru and raised in the US. His mother had an accident when he was 5, Maria Carrion (Cesars's Mother) lost her vision sight, product of an accident in Peru in 1979, she became blind and Cesar's first musical notes started at same time when all this sad developments where happening, He has as mentor and inspiration his mother and family.
Cesarios developed a love for the Spanish guitar at the age of 5 , later on when he discovered the recordings of classical guitar maestro, Paco de Lucia. He put aside what had been his secondary instruments since - the piano and the accordion - and dedicated himself to learning the music of the great Spanish composers that different artist popularized.
Through private own self study and with encouragement and inspiration from playing guitar by ear, Cesar quickly developed his own expressive voice on the guitar and honed an uncommonly dexterous classical fingerstyle technique that he exclusively uses to this day.
At the age of 16 he plays in peruvian local rock bands like Lapso and Wap. At 17 he travels to Miami and later concentrates on music as a carrier and his first performances take place in the USA with Peruvian national artist Pedrito Otiniano. Afterwards he pairs up with Lucho Barrios, Jhonny Farfan, Lucila Campos, Jesus Vazques, Guiller and others in Little Habana, Florida.
By his early twenties, Rios's keen sense of rhythm, knack for composition, and love of improvisation led him away from the classical repertoire and in the direction of the rhythmically enticing Spanish folk guitar styles and the improvisational freedom of Latin Jazz, Waltz, Afro and South American music.
In 1996 he plays at different events : the Peruvian Consulate (Miami), the Peruvian Chamber of Commerce and the Sheraton Hotel (Miami). Soon he discovers that there can be a crossover between Bolero and Salsa, and starts his arrangements with different cuban and afro roots. During the same year, his career on cruise ships starts with small ships like Discovery Cruise Lines, then, he joins RCCL, NCL, Elysian, Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises and many others around the world. Cesar also plays in University of Miami and FIU in the "Hispanic Heritage" anual festivals as a lead sonero of "Salsamore", his own band known as the best of all party bands at the high seas, this artist keeps expanding every day showing nothing else but pure talent to the audiences.
After more than a decade performing in cruise ships around the world, Cesar Rios has come up with a repertory of 3500 songs without repeating one, unless requested by the audiences.
Cesar made some great fusion of flamenco, jazz and top 40's music, and has now reached even loftier heights with his debut solo demo productions.
On the current recordings Cesar crafts a lush world music variety including songs from Greece, Peru, USA, Italy and Japan, featuring 15 virtual musicians in virtual tracks from Garage Band and Protools, each chart Cesar writes has a unique feeling for live performance purposes, The different styles he plays come from South America, Europe and the United States.
The audiences describe "Cesarios's Music " as "a unique genre-busting collection of Latin, Indian, Persian, Arabic, South American and European sounds." The music on the Demo album is unconfined by genre restrictions and embraces a spirit of different creative possibility and wide-reaching artistic vision.
Cesar Started and his band "Salsamore" consisted of 8 Cuban musicians in Miami Fl, making the best latin band cruise ships ever had (Described by the audiences), Soon he realizes that he needed to do half of the year with the band to keep the "Latino flavor mixture" , and the rest of the year by him self as a solo artist to the current day for composing purposes and also meditation to increase his musical experience.
Focusing on originality and experimentation, Cesar continued performing cover music and a few originals, which drew upon an eclectic mixture of salsa, Latin jazz, blues, samba, bossa nova, flamenco, and classical styles, punctuated by improvisational flair and fast-paced interplay between the guitar and the Latin percussion rhythm section he uses in every production.
Cesar quickly established him self on the international music scene through his solo studio demo albums, widely broadcast on line concerts, and extensive live performances as a quintet in venues ranging from the Miami local venues to the Atlantic, Mediterranean and South Pacific Oceans, He performs in various places : your ship, hotel, resort, to attract the best venues in a way to make it successful every night with good results, with different theme nights, Cesarios along with a group of professionals will always have your place busy and the party will always have positive results and compliments.
