I don’t think I would be here without the ancient chanting of the monk, or the sweat-stained spiritual of the American slave resounding through the Southern cotton field. Those two things are deeply spiritual, one coming from inside the church and the other coming from outside. There is something in old hymns that I don’t think can ever be overstated or understood, but I also find Bach, American folk and country, the songs of Paul Simon, the Beatles, and U2 very inspirational. For me, one of the things that drives me to live with a synergy of my faith and my work is what I see in that artists of this past century, like Flannery O’Connor, Sufjan Stevens, and Bruce Cockburn. I find them to be incredible examples of people using their artistry and their deeply held beliefs and in turn impact the world around them.

No, I've no met him. I love his chair and mic though. One of my friends (Eric Kilgore) recorded a record with him earlier this year. Love your stuff btw.
That's AWSOME!!! I'm so happy for you! The new building at last. : ) Life is good. I'm basically just working and hanging out. I went down to lakefair today...which is a fair the city of Olympia puts on every year. There were fireworks tonight and they were amazing! I had such a good time! What about you? How's life treating you?
Hey! Has Dave talked to you about leading worship at camp lately? Just wondering cause I don't really know what's going on...as in, if we are going to practice before hand or not. Anyways, how have you been? It's been a while.
Keep writing and playing my friend. Sounds great! As soon as I find the means to record, I plan on putting up some of my recent work. Anyway, I hope you're still surviving! God bless. Be well.
