Musicology student in Yildiz Technical University having education in Aural Design Program .
2000 She created anima with Tunçay Korkmaz .At the same year she studied musicals singing with Müjgan Özçay, ensemble with Ayse Tütüncü and history of populer music history with Orhan Kahyaoglu.
2001 She began her musical education which would end in two years in Müjdat Gezen arts center.
2004 She began Yildiz Technic University for Musical Education and she got to the level of being Alper Maral’s ‘rover’ students.
2005 She began with the records of "animasal" in august.
2006 In february "animasal" was on-air from Sony–Bmg.
2007 Produced and recorded the film music of the last film of Handan Ipekçi ‘(Hidden Faces) with anima in Baykus Music studios
2007 She record her solo projects demo
2007 She has start given performances with cover band name of Friendly Fire on different places in Turkey
2008 She produce a radio programme SuBiDap for an independent radio which is wery important one name of Açik Radio. The programmes concept is about "women jazz musicians from Turkey".
She produce and offer this programme by her self.
2008 She start a new project in Berlin with Philipp Gropper and Wanja Slavin. They perform first time on August in Berlin
2008 She start recording her solo albume.

The band which formed in 2000 and caught attention with its colorful bandmembers and their unique style, anima, has not only played in the most famous stages of Turkey, they have also participated in lost of music festivals and college spring festivals.The bandmembers have chosen the word "anima" as a name for themselves, which meant "spirit" in Latin, and meant "playing with a full spirit" in musical terminology, and they have been interested in the philosophical meaning of the word for years too. The band never categorized their music with only a style, they have been feeding on blues, ethnic, jazz, trip hop as much as they fed on rock. so this variety made them compose the whole album called "animasal". All 14 songs have been composed and arranged by the bandmembers, animasal was a story-album with its own concept and each song was related to the next one. Had Concerts in a lot of cities in Turkey with Anima. In 2007 the band composed and recorded the soundtrack of Handan Pekçi's latest movie "saklı yüzler" ("hidden faces") in Baykuş Müzik Studios.
The bandmembers decided to take their own path by the end of 2007.

Şenol Küçükyıldırım is one of the most importand avantgarde drummers of Turkey. He has worked and played with such important names such as Ivan Tchrepnin , John Cage Ian Forman, Joe Hunt, Jamey Haddad, Giovanni Hidalgo, Cecil Taylor, Raphe Malik, Joshua Redman, John Lockwood , Avishai Cohen , Raqip Hassan. Still living in Istanbul, Şenol Küçükyıldırım is teaching in Yildiz Technical University, has concerts in Boston, NY, Canada, Istanbul.

She has made a radio show called "Şubidap" in one of the most important radio channels of Turkey, "açık radyo".
In the programme which is hosting "Women Jazz Musicians" only, not only jazz music had been talked about, but also why these women musicians have chosen to play jazz, how they've been influenced, what they have dealt with while they've been making this music, their purposes, their choises, their recommendations.And live performances of the guests were presented every week. The Show was on for 25 weeks.

In 2008 she has recorded and had gigs in several clubs in Berlin, as a part of Philipp Gropper and Wanja Slavin's jazz based project. Afetr a trip on the highway to Berlin, she has recorded for 4 days and had a concert altogether and experienced a process of knowing-understanding-getting further and closer to eachother.
The composition "Bırakma" made by Philipp Gropper in Berlin, has been recorded again in Turkey for Ceylan Ertem's solo album.

The performances that start with an Afrikan lullaby, usually end with the words of an old poet.
The band got its name from the same lullaby.. The band performs in 2 very important concert places of Istanbul "dogzstar" and "peyote", which are open places to avantgarde- free jazz and free improvisation, with rock and alternative.
The compositions of the band have been recorded for Ceylan Ertem's solo album.

In the first solo album of Ceylan Ertem, over 40 musicians have played, with such a varity including Oğuz Büyükberber, Bilal Karaman, Tobias Klein, Ayşe Tütüncü, Ozan Musluoğlu, Çağrı Sertel, Onur Alatan, Gökhan Sürer, Mustafa Özşamlı, Şevket Akıncı, Kardeş Türküler, Alp Ersönmez, Cenk Erdoğan, Meriç Demirkol, Gökçe Gürçay, Cihan Mürtezaoğlu and many others...
Every Composition of her made their way into the other musicians souls and ears, to form the way they are right now, and a very big orchestra has been made this way.
The album is planned to be released around December2009 - January2010. The first video's been shot by Gökçen Dilek Acay for the song "Insandık" recorded with the band "Gevende"
The producer of the album is Sinan Sakızlı of Baykuş Müzik.
