About me:
Established in 1961, the Combined Federal Campaign is the only authorized workplace fund raising campaign in the Federal community. Over 2,500 charities that have been approved by Federal employees are eligible for payroll deducted contributions made by Federal employees. Workplace giving through payroll deduction means workers can give more through small amounts collected each pay period. This provides charities with a steady montly income for a year so that they will have more time and resources to plan and provide their much needed services. In addition, it helps to replenish and maintain a charity's general fund so that it can be more prepared to have the resources to respond to emergencies or disasters. Pledging to your favorite charity through CFC gives the charity only 1 check to process. Thus, helping the charity to minimize its fundraising costs and use the resouces to help those in need. ..
