About me: June 18, 2007 the City of Charleston Fire Department lost 9 brave men in a Sofa Super Store Warehouse fire. This day changed the CFD forever! Suzette Dunlap and Angie Baldwin, sisters married to CFD members, realized that enough of the wives did not know each other and did not have the support they were able to give to each other that night and the following days. They decided to start the CFD Wives Club. September 2007 was the first month for meetings. It was an immediate success. We are a support group for our husbands, children and each other. We meet once a month for our meeting and at least once a month for a social outting.
1 year later, our group has continued to grow and stay strong. We've hosted many different events for our guys, the CFD and volunteered throughout the community. We have a great group of ladies!

Yes, we have moved now but our closing is tomorrow. Right now we will be in Summerton which is a little over an hour, Brian will be comuting to the fire dept for now. Eventually we will be in Chesterfield about 3 hours away. You girls have been great and I will keep it touch. Talk to you later.
We had a great time today. Even though we missed an hour b/c of the ER! Sorry we couldn't stay and help clean up but the meds. were starting to wear off and he was hurting. We'll see yall this Thurs/Fri!
