About me:

In my life I have been and seen many things. I have traveled, loved, lost, and learned. I have been a friend, a wife, a lover, a mother, a daughter. I have felt the joy of new love and the pain of losing a love I wasn't ready to let go of. I have walked away from love because I loved myself more. I have missed love and hated love, cherished it, and hoped for it. I have felt fooled by love, been given hope through love. The love of others has been the support to keep me going, the anchor tying me down, the fear to move forward, the push to move ahead. I have seen parts of the world, but not enough to quench my thirst. I have said goodbye to friends that harmed me, sought out others that energized me. I am a mother to my son, and also to my angel baby who I never was able to meet. I have taught others how to love themselves, how to love me, how to be loved. I have also learned from them... every single day. I have memories, thoughts, and ideas that shape every ounce of who I am. There are parts of my life I wish I could relive, redo, replay. My past does not haunt me. More often it comes to me again and teaches me yet another lesson. I have learned that I only know a single part of any situation. Most times I later learn what the other person felt, thought, saw, understood, or questioned. I find life to be an amazing puzzle and my experiences to be gifts. __________________________________________________ I live in Westfield, IN with my husband, Aaron, my son, Maddox, and our dog, Baxter. We enjoy spending our time working on our houses; we also own a rental home on the west side of Indianapolis and one is Zionsville. We spend a lot of time with family and friends. If we are out alone, we are probably at Target or Lowes... we should own stock! Professionally, my background is in managing multimedia projects. I have been doing it for 8 years at IUPUI. I earned my accreditation and am now an AMM (Accredited Media Manager). I also completed my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Media Arts and Science ('02 and '04). I work full-time, but work from home part-time so I can still be with Maddox those days. Having it ALL takes a LOT of hard work, but it is AMAZING! I have been breastfeeding Maddox and have been so moved by the experience that I now want to study to become a lactation consultant. I am a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor (trained through La Leche League International), so contact me if you are having any problems or have questions. I have many years of work and volunteering ahead of me before I can even sit for the international board exam, but it is my new goal.
