WELCOME
Hello and welcome to MY Myspace. I go by the name "Chief Greenbud" or "Chief" or "Greenbud" or "CGB" or "hey you, the guy with the guitar that sings the songs about weed, C'mere, I wanna get you high". I like it when people say that! haha
"Chief" (to smoke) "Greenbud" (marijuana). Chief, in this case, is a verb. Now, the question for you is, do you "Chief Greenbud"?
Here is a little timeline of "Chief Greenbud": In May of 2008 I released my first CD. Chief Greenbud. Then, in September 2008, in Austin, Tx, I won (2) Global Marijuana Music Awards for "Best Male Artist" and "Best Acoustic Song". Following that, I was nominated for a 2009 High Times Doobie Award for the "Best New/Underground Artist". In February 2009 I won a Global Marijuana Music award for "Best Acoustic Song". In March 2009 I flew with Muck Sticky to Hollywood California to play the world famous "Viper Room". (when I played "why can't we all get a bong" everyone broke out their lighters!). Also in March, Mids Magazine named "Chief Greenbud" Artist of the Month. The second CD "Chief Greenbud Vol. 2" was released in May of 2009. In June of 2009, the American Marijuana Music Awards were held in Chicago, Il. I am honored to announce that I won 4 of the awards. "Best Male Artist", "Best Legalization Song", "Best Acoustic Song" and "Best Comedy Song". Also in June, I flew to South Dakota and visited the Pine Ridge Reservation. Dan and Matt from High Times did a photo shoot for an upcoming article for the magazine. (Yes, it looks like Chief Greenbud will be gracing the pages of High Times in the very near future). I believe it will be in the December 2009 High Times Magazine that will be available on news stands mid Oct. There will also be an interview I did with J. from "Treating Yourself" magazine, a medical marijuana magazine based in Toronto, Canada out soon. I will keep you posted and thank you for your support!
