Raybourne Meade, aka Chabe, shares a March 25th birthday with Empress Menen. This Manchester native was born with music on his lips. His first cry came out in a two-part harmony. Having music in his life is a gift and it is something that flows out of him naturally. Nicknamed the Mad Rapper, his talent was well known in his district of Resource before his first single “My Baby” hit the radio waves. He would electrify the sound system with the force of his lyrics and music, captivating the crowds with his energy and leaving them screaming for more.
Chabe has a wide range of artists who have influenced him; however, Tupac wakes him up in the morning and put him to bed at night. Artists such as Buju, Wayne Wonder, Richie Spice, CAPLETON, Damien Marley, Baby Cham, Anthony Cruz to Whitney Houston are in his ears daily. His all-time favorite song “Rolling Down the Highway” is from the group Jagged Edge.
Food is the staff of life! Chabe will tell you straight up that he is a regular country man, who loves his farming. He finds it easy to change his role from farmer to musician. Every man needs the peace that the earth brings and when he’s in his fields he works with a clear mind and the rhythms and the words simple manifest in his soul. Number seven of eleven children he appreciate the peaceful songs of the birds and the great expanse of the blues skies which watch over him as he works.
