If you haven’t heard the music of Chad Bradford, trust me, you will in due time. Chad is one of the hottest, uprising stars in country music. His unique, soulful voice is a sound that is capturing every country music fans ears today as he travels all across the America. Fans, old and new, are anxiously awaiting the release of his new, self-entitled album in mid-September.
Chad Bradford was born and raised in rural north Alabama. As you would guess, he was enriched with the Muscle Shoals Sound at an early age, since his hometown of Hatton is only twenty miles away. With the Shoals R&B sound, along with country and gospel music, Chad was introduced to wide array of music. His musical influences range from Elvis Presley and Merle Haggard to Otis Reding and Lynard Skynard.
Chad began his musical journey in church at the age of ten by singing in church choir and even leading the congregation as an early teenager. When he turned eighteen, Chad got his first taste of the honkytonks performing at a small club in Sheffield, Alabama. He admits this is when he figured out that music is what he had to do. “Once it gets in your blood, there’s nothing you can do but just do it,” he says. He also started his first year of college with the plan to become a doctor. He graduated with a B.S. in Medical Technology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Shortly after graduating, he was introduced to Walt Aldridge at FAME studios and began to get his first taste of the studio life. Chad also began making quite a name for himself in north Alabama and south Tennessee by playing anywhere and everywhere he could. Chad won first place in the nationally renowned Jimmy Dean Talent Contest in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Feeling like it was time to make the “big move”, he relocated to Nashville, Tennessee in January 2000. He worked on various projects and played every honkytonk on Broadway. In 2005, Chad signed with JD Jam Records Nashville and has been touring all across the United States. He has just recently completed his new album, “Chad Bradford”, and is touring all across America to promote his new album.
