"He is the loftiest idea in literature. He is the highest personality in Philosophy. He is the supreme problem in higher criticism. He is the fundamental doctrine of true theology. He is the core, the necessity for spiritual religion. He is the miracle of the ages. He is the superlative of everything good that you choose to call Him. He is the only one qualified to be our all-sufficiency."
About me: "That publisher who thought that men would get on if they believed in themselves, those seekers after the Superman who are always looking for him in the looking-glass, those writers who talk about impressing their personalities instead of creating life for the world, all these people have really only an inch between them and this awful emptiness. Then when this kindly world all round the man has been blackened out like a lie; when friends fade into ghosts, and the foundations of the world fail; then when the man, believing in nothing and in no man, is alone in his own nightmare, then the great individualistic motto shall be written over him in avenging irony. The stars will be only dots in the blackness of his own brain; his mother’s face will be only a sketch from his own insane pencil on the walls of his cell. But over his cell shall be written, with dreadful truth, 'He believes in himself.'"
What you see is a Gameboy that survived a barracks bombing during the Gulf War and currently resides at the Nintendo World Store in NYC. As is evident by the Tetris screen, it still works! Now that, my friends, is quality. This clearly proves beyond a shadow of a doubt one of my most recent theories -- that Gameboys really do save lives. Okay, so maybe it doesn't prove that at all. But it does prove that Tetris was an awesome fucking game doesn't it? Yes, it most certainly does that.
I like your profile song. Not sure if you are familiar with Afto Celt Sound System, but in my opinion, they are great! A fusion of African/Celtic music and instruments. Oh! I don't know which is which, but I can imagine in your author photos there must be a Arthur C. Clarke and a Philip K. Dick. No?
I KNOW! It is seriously one of, if not THE best game out there! I am going to make a Gabriel Knight page! The second and third ones are very different, but also very good! voodoo/zombies/werewolves/vampires/holy grail legends/King "bat-shit crazy" Ludwig II...so awesome! :)
I agree, It's not exactly the same. The British did not have a paramilitary police force and a high tech network of devices to monitor their subjects, as well as a legal system that would grant them immunity for breaching the law. Oh yeah they didn't need it -monarchy.
Regardless, shit is about to hit the fan. Could be interesting.
The train...I say..the train. Good to see you while I was back. Been a while since I've laughed that hard, and good healthy ones at that. Look at those little ones...not so little anymore! Take care brotha. See ya around.
Have no fear! Part 2 (and 3) are on their way...My internet is down at home...BETTER be back up tonight! When it is, I will watch and post appropriate blog for your commenting pleasure! :)
Chad, have you seen "I am Legend?" Every review I read said that it was mediocre at best but I cought it a few days ago and...well, it was my 2nd favorite film of 2007! I almost watched it again right after it had ended. Get back to me on this issue.
