In the summer of 2004, Chad Harris packed his guitar and left his hometown of Oxford, MS for Nashville, TN to pursue his passion for music. Five years later, the 25-year old singer/songwriter finds himself in the middle of what music city has to offer talented artists like himself. His lyrics and melodies leave a lasting impression on his audiences by capturing stories that any listener can relate to. .. After a successful release of his debut EP in 2007, Chad was chosen as the voice of SPEED TV's 2008 Nascar Anthem. In addition, Chad teamed up with SPEED TV to create a music video that aired nationwide. In 2009, he found his backing band “The Broken Poets” and released his debut full-length album entitled “New Life”. In March of 2009, Chad Harris and The Broken Poets opened the show for “Mississippi Rocks the Ryman,” at the Ryman Auditorium sharing the historic stage with 3 Doors Down. In the summer of 2009, he teamed up with the Heart for Togo mission group and journeyed on an acoustic tour in Togo, Africa. .. Chad enjoys collaborating with other artists to write and perform songs. He recently co-wrote “Here We Are” with Canadian artist Erin Haley, which was released on her 2009 sophomore album “House On Fire.” He also co-wrote “Hello Chicago” with Nashville artist Jessica Rae, which released on her 2009 EP entitled “Ruby Red”. While Chad has been busy writing music and playing shows, he found time to appear on TV/Film spots on shows such as “Behind the Lines” and the award-winning “Spiritual Outdoor Adventures”. Chad strives to perfect his craft, working for the next big hit.
