Born in 1982, and raised a native of Laurel, Mississippi, Chad Knight always dreamed of becoming a singer. He took guitar lessons at the age of 16, and never took chorus or show choir. After starting out shy at West Jones High School, Knight didn’t reveal his hidden talent until he was 18, his senior year when his first band “Split” took third place in the talent show in 2001. The time is now and Knight is living his dream. It all started back in the spring of 2001 when graduate, Chad Knight fronted the local pop-punk band called “Split”. When two of the band members left for parts unknown, Chad formed the modern rock band called “Halfway There” in 2002. The band branched out from Jones County, playing shows around the state. But after several months of hard work, all four members decided to call it quits. So after graduating Jones County Junior College, Chad broke away from the band scene to begin a solo career in 2003. He called up and got together with some of his favorite local musicians to start recording his music. The style of Chad’s music is many influences combined to form a fresh, grunge-punk sound with pop-catchy vocals, and a love for reggae music. Having more control over the music, Chad writes his music to attract all ages from high school students, college kids to adults. It is very easy to understand, the inspiration for his music comes from personal life experiences and lessons gleaned from the lives of others. Knight also takes individual stories from friends and fans, and writes songs for them. Being different from other artists, he also likes doing collaborations with other artists and trying new things with different genres. Knight finds his music to be an outlet of expression. Some of his musical influences include Sublime, Colorfinger, Everclear, Slightly Stoopid, Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, Jarflys, Bush, etc. Summer of 2003, Chad shopped around his first CD release entitled "That Other Life EP" as a demo for venues and night clubs. Then he started back playing shows with some of the locals around the area to promote his music. Knight plays both acoustic shows and full band shows. In the fall of 2004, Chad released his debut album entitled “Forget About the Bad Things”. His name and music started to grow. Wanting to turn his dream into real life, Chad was determined to be heard. In 2006, Chad released his second album entitled “From A New Window”. It claims to be even better than the first. It is in your face, straight to the point, and more upbeat radio rock. One can really tell the growth on this album. From articles to radio spots, this album took Chad to higher levels. While promoting and getting to play shows outside the state, Chad was getting better and faster at writing new material. Summer of 2007, “Seems Like A Lifetime,” the long-awaited third album was released. This is the most anticipated Chad Knight album yet. With a wide variety of songs, this album is dedicated to each and every one of the fans for all their support and interest in Chad’s music. Knight wants to prove to everyone that he is for real. And so the saga continues...

" When one is open minded, and does not take for granted the spoken and unspoken 'self - evident truths', and when one does not force by willpower oneself to see, hear, think and feel only things which are 'appropriate' - then one can surf the crazy currents of information in an aware and efficient way. Then one realizes that there is no useless knowledge and no impossible things."
