En marzo del año 2008, luego de la salida de 2 de sus integrantes. pedro (guitarra), felix (voz y guitarra) y juan carlos (bajo), deciden comenzar con su nuevo proyecto llamado Chaicura. Basandose en la fuerza y la simpleza, para llegar a un rock con matices de grunge, metal y punk. Con la dificultad de buscar y encontrar un batero con las cualidades necesarias, para ocupar el puesto vacante. LLega ricardo (Ex Emiliano frenesi), qien con su personalidad y su forma de golpear los tarros, logra darle a los temas todo el poder que se buscaba.
Asi, llenos de ideas la banda comienza su camino creando desde un comienzo temas propios cargados de un sonido crudo y directo.
Luego de casi un año de ensayos y compocisión la banda decide mostrarse en vivo, autogestionando tocatas con bandas amigas, con resultados positivos para el crecimiento de chaicura.
En la actualidad la banda se encuentra concentrada en la creacion de nuevos temas y gestionar tocatas con el objeto de difundir y promover rock en una comuna, con poca cultura musical.
Nuestros proyectos como banda es seguir creciendo musicalmente, dar a conocer nuestros temas, apoyar proyectos musicales de otras bandas emergentes y preparar nuestro primer disco en el cual nos encontramos trabajando.
Con una propuesta llena de energia y poder, chaicura espera ganarse un espacio, en un circuito que cada vez le cierra mas las puertas a bandas emergentes con sonido propio y se las abre al resto (bandas tributo) que solo hacen imitaciones baratas de bandas consagradas, criticando tambien a los espacios que no confian en el rock propio nacional.
