Chairleg formed from the ashes of a couple prominent bands of the CSRA. Fueled by of the lack of balls in the local music scene at that time, Larry, Matt, and Mike began developing the framework for their vision. Ryan and Dave Mercer where brought in and the band began writing what became their first album: Omen, Now. After just three shows, their high energy live performance spawned multiple nominations on the Lokal Loudness Choice Awards. Omen, Now was released in 2007 and the band received even more nominations. Billy Hickey replaced Dave Mercer and Chairleg went hard to work on the new album. Dropped in October 2008, Determinant again sold out and got great reviews by Lokal Loudness and the Augusta Chronicle's Steven Uhles. And again the band was nominated for the 2009 Lokal Loudness Choice Awards. This time a total of 9 nominations-every one the band was eligible. They took home Favorite Hard Rock Band and Favorite CD of the year. Currently, Chairleg is playing shows in the South East and working on the development of the third album.
