It would be easier to say what I am NOT interested in! I think I have a writer's mentality, which means I know a little about a LOT of things and a lot about a few things. I am NOT interested in playing games, arguing with others, listening to heavy metal or most rap, OR dealing with people who are fakes.
I love animals, particularly cats, and believe we should do what we can to help our animal friends.
I love music! Classical, Celtic, CW, World music, Spanish Cumbias, Classic Rock, Folk music, SOME Modern Rock songs, Jazz and Barbershop style. Basically, I like music that has one or more of the following: beat, haunting melody, strong, meaningful lyrics and/or pretty harmony.
Movies
Classics, Indiana Jones action/adventure types, Mysteries, Fantasy, Suspense Thrillers, but NOT Horror unless it is tastefully done and has a really good plot.
Also comedy, romantic comedy, ghost stories and high drama.
Television
Haven't watched TV for almost 20 years. I don't have the time to sit and do nothing that goes hand-in-hand with watching the tube.
Books
Pretty much the same as my taste in movies. I love Mysteries, Fantasy, Suspense, Action/Adventure and Ghost stories. Some of the books I have read are on my bookshelves below and at www.shelfari.com.
..See the slide show below for other Books and Interests!
Heroes
Most of my heroes are those "real" people in life who overcome hardships, persevere and keep on trucking toward their goals. These are the true heroes, not the ones in the movies or in novels who are destined to win. It is those who try and keep trying, even if they never achieve their goals who have my greatest respect and deserve the most kudos.
NO DATING REQUESTS, PLEASE!!!! I AM HERE TO PROMOTE MY BOOK! Unless I already KNOW you, I will NOT add you as my friend unless you are a REAL person with a REAL profile!

Charlotte Holley, B.A., aka Chalaedra, lives near Austin, Texas, with her housemate and business partner, Denise (who helped design many of the early earrings) and their cats; Hanuman, Sandi Phoenix, Izzy, Moxie, Golden Eye, Timothy, Sebastian, Toby and Lakota! They also have two dogs; an old fox terrier, Albert Barkley, and a young pug, Sophia Loren (aka Nutty Brown). Widowed in 1976, Charlotte has a married daughter and two grandchildren.
Born November 7, 1950, Charlotte began beading in 1987 when her daughter brought home a single beaded earring a friend had given her. Not being the type to wear a single earring, but determined there should be at least one thing her teenaged daughter owned that she (the mom!) actually could borrow from her daughter, Charlotte set out to learn how to make the mate to the earring. She bought some beads and quickly "figured out" the design, but it was almost a year before she could find any beads to match the earring. In that length of time, she had created fifty original designs of her own, complete with necklaces, earrings, bracelets, anklets, head ornaments, rings and brooches (obsession, you say?). Needless to say, the mate to that original earring never did get made, but she has had a wonderful time with her beads ever since. And no, she never did return that borrowed earring, just as many of the things her daughter borrowed never got returned -- justice? She has been designing quality beaded jewelry ever since. To check out her designs, go here: Beaded Legends by Chalaedra.
Charlotte also enjoys crochet, drawing, painting, flower arranging, embroidery, cross stitch, writing and all kinds of other handcrafts, although she loves beadwork the best.
Among her other interests are travel, bird watching, music, movies, art, antiques, reading, parapsychology and her grandchildren. In addition to more than 200 patterns, Charlotte has authored and co-authored several full length novels, as well as numerous poems and short stories.
Her Actor's Guild series (paranormal mystery/fantasy) novels have been accepted for publication by Mystic Moon Press (http://www.mysticmoonpress.com) with the first book of the series, McCann's Manor released in eBook form on January 7, 2008; print version coming early in Febuary. The Bakery Murders (second of the Actor's Guild series) is also slated for release in eBook form in February, 2008, with the third, Whispers From the Past following sometime later in 2008. Charlotte also designed the cover for her upcoming novel, McCann's Manor (see below).
My list of who's who is too long to put here. Mostly, I would love to meet people with interests similar to mine, but I also love meeting just about everyone. People are all interesting and everyone has a story to tell. I believe we all learn from each and every person we meet.
