After years of trying to find someone fitting the part as lead singer in Chamber 4, the band chose Nisse Nilsson, shortly after Matthias Meakin had left the band. With a raw, rock-hard singing voice, Nisse (or more formally, Nils-Petter) has brought a whole new dimension to the sound, being a source of inspiration for everyone in the band.
Also, shortly after Nisse joined the band, the former bassplayer G (or as he is more commonly known, Robin Gustafsson) had to quit the band due to personal reasons. After a few more tryouts, the band decided to settle for Robin Samuelson. Being a young, energetic and hard-working bassplayer, he has greatly contributed to the bands progress.
With the new album coming out soon, the band is heavily influenced by CDs such as An Ocean Between Us (As I Lay Dying) and Messengers (August Burns Red). In this EP, Chamber 4 combines the bone-grinding, raw guitar sound with underlying melodies, and the harder elements of metal in conjunction with Nils-Petters singing voice.
Chamber 4 is truly a force to be reckoned with, within melodic thrash metal.
