Champagne Days was first conceived in 2005 as a melting pot project (similar to the Josh Hommes “Dessert Sessions” project) for the Miami music scene by Ryan Frank, formally of Fashionista acclaim. However, instead of this, the project took a turn to something else when Howard Melnick, formally of Fashionista as well, joined the project full time. Around this time Raquel Rayneri (Wednesday’s Child) started working with the band as a vocalist, and keyboardist.
After finding their voice in Kurt Riley and percussion prowess added by Amir (Children With Small Panties), the band was nearly complete. With the addition of Michael Sinisgallil, the band started playing their first live shows in 2008. In the beginning of 2009, Michael and the band parted ways.
Champagne Days attempts to mix the best dance/Goth music with big guitar sounds and elements of stoner rock sprinkled in. The band has been cross referenced with acts like: Joy Division, Killing Joke, Queens of the Stone Age, The Stone Roses, Love and Rockets, and others.
Currently, Champagne Days is disbanded, and working in the studio with various musicans in an attempt to bring back the melting pot aspect.
