CHANCE is a Southern Rock Rap party-rock monster and accomplished songwriter. He is quickly becoming one of the most sought after live performance MC/ DJ's in the south. His unique brand of hybrid music combines elements of Southern Rock, HipHop, Electronic, and Country. CHANCE has worked or performed with the likes of Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr., KRS ONE, Digital Underground, Dobie Gray, Bubba Sparxxx, Fat Shan, Tanya Tucker, The Naked Cowboy, P-Funk AllStars, Rockwilder, Big N Rich, Gretchen Wilson, James Otto, Ty Stone, Sevren "40" Sanders, Trailer Choir, Steven Cochran, Colt Ford, Ambyr and many more. CHANCE's music has been used for everything from MTV's REAL WORLD and ROAD RULES to BANK OF AMERICA's world wide television commercials to NASCAR. He is also an accomplished songwriter and producer with numerous working credits to his name as well as president of BEATS U. Music (live show production/ promotion company with 2 recording studios located in Nashville TN and 1 in Huntington WV) and co-owner and founder of THE CHANCE CENTER community outreach center located at 818 5th Avenue South in Nashville TN.
CHANCE was literally born into music and raised on a 4104 motor-home bus while his parents and recording artists TIM & PAULINE SMITH were touring with the likes of Gene Watson, Willie Nelson, Tanya Tucker, David Allan Coe, and many more. TIM & PAULINE performed everywhere from arenas to small bars to the Grand Ole' Opry. CHANCE's parents divorced and settled in Nashville TN when he was 4 where he spent most of his childhood in the local Nashville bar/ music scene with his mother PAULINE SMITH. PAULINE was a loved singer/ bartender that hosted talent shows and helped in the careers of numerous Country Music artists including Toby Keith, John Michael Montgomery, and Confederate Railroad to name a few. When CHANCE was 13 years old, PAULINE passed away from a eight year bout with cancer which eventually became the inspiration for writing the highly emotional song "PAULINE" (about her battle with cancer) which landed CHANCE his first major Music Row record deal with Warner Brothers/ RAYBAW in 2005. CHANCE left that label in 2006. Since then CHANCE has been working with his production and publishing company BEATS U. MUSIC steadily writing, producing, DJing, and performing in preparation for the right time to release his first full length album.
CHANCE has a unique ability to navigate through the music world. He has a valuable understanding of the importance of relationships and is proud to say "I have one million great relationships and not one burned bridge". He spends a lot of his time working with others and has earned the reputation as one of Nashville's most sought after "go-to guys" in today's ever changing music industry. CHANCE is a creative innovator that continues to feed the world the highest quality music, arts, and ideals.
