Welcome To The About Me of Chandler Adaway!
This is real; this is me.
I am a Freshman at NHS and am a Mostly A with an occasional B student. I excel mainly in the math and science department though. Later on down the road, I hope to attend another 10 years or so of schooling after highschool to become a doctor. Ten Years is really nothing, go for what you want to do, do not base it on a time scale because you will regret it later on. And then after school and getting my career established, I want to go to other countries to help people medically and spiritually there. I'm really excited about my future, and I won't let anything get in the way.
I text, ALOT! It's just one of those things I guess. I try to broaden my vocabulary as much as possible. So if you catch me saying a word you don't understand, please just kindly ask what the word means without the cute commentary. That would be fantastic. :)
I listen to a lot of music that you don't listen too. Why? Because what you listen to is awful. Ha, just sayin'. I really enjoy the classics though. Frank Sinatra, Elvis Costello, Stevie Wonder. You can even catch me listening to some classical piano music. I'm really diverse when it comes to that kind of stuff.
I enjoy new technology and all kinds of different gadgets. I'm kind of an Apple geek. Haha.
I also enjoy any art form. Mainly photography though. Art is a great way to express yourself.
I do yoga. It's my attempt to stay healthy. I'm not nearly as healthy as I want to be. I value life a LOT, so health to me is important, even if it doesn't seem like it.
There are three places that I would like to move to in my adult life.
1. Austin
2. California
3. New York City And even to another country for awhile. I would love to move to Paris or London for a few years. I love to travel, so moving around doesn't bother me that much.
After graduation, Maci and I are making a road trip up to New York. We are going to drive the whole way up there. It will be an amazing trip to do with a friend. We plan to arrive at night time when all the lights are shining. You know, to give us the full effect. I suggest you make a trip similar to ours, but your not invited along with us....
....No, seriously. Haha.
As you can tell, I like to plan a lot in the future. It's always nice to have a goal to work towards. It's also going to be nice to be able to say that I will be able to afford any goal and hobby I have in the future, after I am out of school. If your still reading this, you obviously have an interest in me. Or maybe you're just bored. Or maybe from the size of this thing, you think I have something interesting to say. But neither are the case. It's just me rambling. Feel free to ask any questions you might have (if any) and I'll do my best to answer them though. I do not enjoy drama at all. However, it always seems like life is in some form of another MTV "The Hills" episode. Haha. Oh well, most of it puts a smile on my face and a good laugh for that day. I'm in the band at NHS. I play the baritone. Yes I know... 90% of you have no clue what that is. Google it if you really want to know.
If you happen to be in a grade other than mine and know me, please state how I know you when you send me a friends request. It's hard to keep up with. Haha. And to be honest, I probably already forgot your name. I'm horrible with those things. Like really bad. I hate when teachers give me papers to pass out because I NEVER remember people's name. It's really embarrassing. I enjoy cars! It went from little imports when I was younger, to slightly more exotic cars now, but I guess that's just another goal to work towards. I'm all about those goals. If I were to give anyone of my generation advise, I would say choose VERY wisely who you hang out with. VERRY wisely. That's probably one of the most important things to success in my eyes. Putting yourself around responsible others is so important. Another thing is to try and not regret. If anything, just say your apologies and move on. That's the most you can do. There is no way to erase your mistakes, and sitting on them is no way to do it. I've thought long and hard about the word regret, and the more I think about it, the more I realize that I would never regret ANYTHING. If you were able to take back something as simple as a certain break-up, or anything that makes your stomach cringe when thought about, you could alter your life in ways that you thought would never be imaginable. Every little thing you do in your lifetime makes you who you are. Over time, you may end up being a notsogood person, but everything can change without taking events out from your past. Change is never to late. Life is to short to dwell on the small things. Open your eyes and enjoy the big things that are coming your way.
I'm a D.A.R.E. graduate, and I plan to tend to my promises that I made in the program.
Like most people, my life mostly thrives on my friends and family. Without them, my life would be a lot more cluttered and dusty.
I have certain morals that I go by, that some may think are stupid, or non-truthful, but they help me stay grounded. I'm probably one of the few guys that believe in staying sexually pure until marriage. That's something that I want to share with only the person that I'm going to spend the rest of my life with. It's too special to just throw away. I only have one shot at life, and I want to make the best of it. If you see a ring on my left hand, that's what it represents. Just a little reminder of who I am and why.
I think fashion is a big part of my life. I'm not afraid to dress up just to go to the store. I'm not afraid to wear a tie on a normal day. I think people should care about how they dress. Nothing is more beautiful to me then seeing a girl in a dress and heels with no special reason to be dressed like that. I'm not saying when girls dress normaly that it's a bad thing of course! Not at all! I don't think girls would want guys to be dressed in gym shorts and a tee everyday, so I want the same for a girl. God gave us beautiful bodies, so we should decorate them to our fullest extent. People look at the way I dress sometimes and think to themselves, wow, he likes himself a little too much. But you know, I think you have to embrace your style and believe in it one hundred percent, or it's going to look forced. You'll just see me in a t-shirt though if it's close to laundry day and/or I woke up late. Which seems to be the case lately.
The first thing that I notice in a girl, is probably the way they dress and take care of them selves. Then the hair. Then eyes. Then smile. Also, personality is something that is HUGE to me. I don't want to be around a person that looks gloomy and acts gloomy. The world that we live in is gloomy enough, you know? I like to get lost in the happiness that people can bring, and that's a big turn on to me, if you can achieve that. I can read vibes that people give off pretty well, so sometimes within the first few minutes of talking to someone, I can tell if we are going to click.
I've been known to tell some "friends" that I don't want to hang out with them because they do some bad things such as drugs, and steal. I don't want to be associated with people like that. Just the other day I was at the mall and a couple of people pulled out some stuff that they stole and I immediately turned around and left. People like that disgust me. And that's why my morals are so important to me. I'm proud of myself when I know I'm doing the right thing. Nothing feels better to me than being a guinely good human being. No doubt that we all have flaws, but stuff that you KNOW is wrong, is something that you can avoid from doing. And that's why I don't associate with people that do that stuff. Someone that steals from stores can easily steal from me. That's not a friend in my eyes.
Somethings that people may not know about me is that I secretly write songs. It's awesome to come up with a chorus in your head to a song that you create. It's beautiful. The best kind of poetry in my mind. I'm currently learning some instruments that I plan to continue my song writing with. So, it's an exciting journey for me. Another thing that people may not know about me, is that I still watch Disney. Haha, yes. I said it. It's fun to jump out of reality and watch drama free TV. As childish as some of it is, it's good to just get away into the Disney world sometimes. I'm a dork. I have tons of role models. My parents, grandparents, and sisters and are awesome people and I love them to death. I think everyone has a celebrity role model, and for me, that person is Nick Jonas. No, I'm not gay. No, I'm not kidding. Three years ago, he was just like any other kid, and now, he's living his dream and being a great person while doing it. People can bash me all they want about it, it's really just something that I feel strong about. I think everyone should look up to him as a role model. He has great morals and is proof that you can do whatever you set your mind to, no matter how young you are.
You know how girls have role models that are female? Well it's the same with males. All of us have them. Male's have male role models, and females have female role models.. I've never heard of a person having a role model that is not the same sex as them (that isn't in their family). Guys: You shouldn't have to be afraid who your role model is. It's not going to make you any less manly. It's dumb for someone to call me gay because a guy is my role model. Give me a break. When people do that, it gives me the impression that they aren't secure enough about their sexuality.
I stick up for my friends, so be afraid if your in my "line of fire". I am not the type of person to drop a friend because someone else (friend or not) doesn't care for them. I've never understood that. People can be jealous, unfortunately.
But if you want to be in my life, be in my life. I don't want to be the person that you have to secretly be acquainted with. Your not worth it. (:
I'm not like most guys. I enjoy a romantic movie or book. I love holding hands with the person I love most. I love just being with someone that I adore and not have to have sex. I wouldn't think twice about missing "that game" if I had the chance to be with the one I love. I LOVE to love someone. Simple as that.
I'm not easily persuaded to do anything that I don't want to do. I'm very opinionated about things I feel strong about. This about me is proof of that.

Earth is... love, life, peace, water, kisses, hugs, smiles, sunshine, friends, family, animals, music, culture, dancing, happiness.. Earth is us. We are Earth. Let's not contaminate it.
