Chandra Moon started song writing in 2005 and since then, inspired by the wealth of songwriting talent in Bristol, her creative juices haven't stopped flowing!
She plays piano and flute and is a self-taught guitarist. She released her first album Full Circle in 2008 and is now working on new recordings.
Influenced by her love of music from the 70s to the present, her lyrics reflect a lifetime of highs and lows.
Her great passion though, is drumming - and it is from the African drum beats she has studied over the years that many of the songs originate.
"...Soulful, melodic and chilled, Chandra Moon's album 'Full Circle' rests on slick, uncluttered production boasting some enchanting vocals backed by dreamy strings, classical guitar, double bass and woodwind..........It's not all chilled though. Half way through the track-listing, the pounding drum intro of 'Rocking Horse' suddenly punctuates the previously tranquil atmosphere to deliver a scornful tale of reprisal and divorce........
If you like KD Lang, Ryan Adams or Morcheeba, this may well be an album for you" - Bristol Rocks 28th Jan 2008
...."Intelligent, beautifully crafted songs"- Bristol Venue 1 Feb 2008
....."It's good stuff and should go down really well in the acoustic music scene happening in Bristol currently........A fine album" Gary Smith - Bristol Uncovered BBC Radio Bristol
