*Savour the musical flavor.......Chandra have been inspiring audiences in Central Victoria with their unique blend of magical harmonies and versatile instrumental styles. The three female family band members (all singer/songwriters in their own right) formed after having years of magical evenings of jamming with guitar's, violin's & flute's! Their voices seem to be intrinsically entwined together like grapes on a vine! Jill Meehan and daughter Michelle Meehan and Jill's sister Joy Lamprell, have been performing together all their lives. A wonderful family blend of spiritual celtic/folk/jazz/blues influences, the name 'Women Wine & Song' came from their album that the ladies released in 2008! Jill Meehan describes the band as: "We love the kinship of women, performing at Wineries Restaurants and Festivals, sharing our songs with other people! Our current band name 'Chandra' -meaning 'goddess of the moon' invokes a sense of the feminine energy & vibe that we produce when we sing and play together! The band has performed at many venues such as the Maldon Folk Festival 2005 - at Wax Lyrical Hepburn 2007 - various concerts & private functions - More recently the band took Bendigo by storm when they performed at the 'Whirrakee restaurant' along with 'Blue couch' the place was packed out!
