WELCOME and GET THE WORD OUT
This is a volunteer committee for the WALK IN THE SPIRIT campaign ~ a 1 day initiative in December to bring the kids back to school who have dropped out.
Wyandotte High School of kansas City, Kansas, has the HIGHEST drop out rate in our community of Wyandotte County. Our initiative is to bring awareness to ALL the students of Wyandotte County at ALL K-12 schools, with emphasis on Middle and High School dropouts and At-Risk Students who are in despair and need to know WE CARE ABOUT OUR KIDS.
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP:
1) forward this message to ALL of your friends. SOMEBODY needs this encouragement ~JUST BELIEVE~
2) leave your suggestions and contacts here. MANY people are standing by, waiting to be of help in some way ~ JUST BELIEVE~
3) TELL SOMEBODY about this 1 day initiative in December. YOUR VOICE will encourage people of ALL AGES to be inspired to return to school and they themselves might be able to offer the kids who participate, THIER STORIES and encouraging one another like Teacher/Student only can. Your life story of over coming educational struggles MUST BE HEARD ~JUST BELIEVE~
4) MEDIA NEEDS: bring your camcorders and document on www.YouTube.com Know a reporter who has this same passion? Know someone at YOUR FAVORITE RADIO STATION who would love to give a shout out for WALK IN THE SPIRIT? Know a PBS employee or board member who has an independent film crew looking for a local story on education to cover?~JUST BELIEVE~
5) PERMIT EXPERTS NEEDED: i have a form to fill out and really don't have a clue how to fill it out...never done this before, but i have the permit and have to turn it in 1 week prior to the WALK ~JUST BELIEVE~

Thanksgiving greetings from the hearts of the African orphans to your heart. How overwhelmed the orphans would be if they could see for themselves the bounty that most of us take for granted. How overwhelmed we would be if we had to live for one day as they live, on the streets of the cities and villages in Africa!
The orphans who have been blessed to have already been taken into one of the orphanages where their food,clothing, and shelter are provided have been given a gift of hope from someone who decided to sponsor an orphan and share their plenty with an orphan child who had nothing.
Sponsors know that they have made a difference in the life of a child. Would those who have not yet had that experience please think about it as you plan and prepare for this Thanksgiving season. Would you not like to feed the children who otherwise would go hungry? Your decision to sponsor an orphan will provide food, clothing and shelter for an orphan who would otherwise be hungry, near-naked and homeless.
