This is the Official Fan Page of Singer/Model/Actress- Chani. Chani aka Chantel Christie is the daugher of NBA power couple Doug and Jackie Christie. She is a very intelligent, fun, and easy going teenager who is looking to make it big in music, fashion, movies (the works).
Chani is an up and coming singer who is signed to independent label, Jean Rah Fya Records. Her first single, "Here We Are Again", is set to drop January 25, 2008. You can check out Chani's latest music on her music page (www.myspace.com/mychani).
Born and raised in Washington State, 14-year-old Chani Christie is making her mark in the world as both a singer and a positive role model for children. A good head on her shoulders is what has helped bring Chani to where she is today. Only at the beginning of her career, Chani can already claim the titles of model, actress, singer and role model.
January 25, 2008 was a big moment in time for Chani as a singer, as it marked the release of her debut single “Here We Are Again”, from her debut album to be released Spring 2008. Her single has already made noise throughout the entertainment industry as having both a fun and flavorful Pop/R&B sound.
The album is a product of some of the best professionals in the industry, including producer Ralph B. Stacy, a veteran of great music that holds a history with artists like Luther Vandross, Pink, Paula Abdul, Bobby Brown and Mario. Stacy has a special place in his heart for the 14-year-old sensation, “Chani is a breath of fresh air and a producer’s dream,” said Stacy. “She is great to work with because of her versatility as a singer. We didn’t have to over produce and package her sound because she has so much natural talent.”
Chani enjoys reading, writing, and making new friends. She is a self proclaimed fashionista; she is also looked upon by her peers as a fashion go to girl, and a trend setter!
With no where to go but up, Chani is counting her blessings, and it’s not only her musical talents that are proving the success of this young girl. But also her passion to lead the youth is what has guided her reputation as a positive role model, after being chosen as the youth Spokesperson for the YMCA, Chani is also the UNITED STATES youth ambassador on HIV/AIDS as well.
“Growing up as a Christie, has taught me the values of leaving a positive impact on the youth,” Chani has said. “I am excited about bringing awareness and education to kids across the globe.”
An accomplished model, Chani has been featured in over 100 print ads for a variety of department stores such as Nordstrom’s and Macy's, and the new reality show “Coming Up Christie” will debut this fall 2008, which will focus on the trials and tribulations of releasing her first single, and will surely make a name for this motivated girl.
Chani will soon add author to her list of credits as she plans to release her first book titled “I Want to Live: A Teen’s Guide to Finding Self Love” in 2008.
Born and raised in Washington State, Chani is currently home schooled while pursuing her ambitious career.
