About Channah

The story of Channah's debut mini-album started on a ferry to Hull, UK: with an iPod full of Leonard Cohen, Ane Brun and Rufus Wainwright, she set her own path to a future in music.
Writing pure and honest songs that were begging for a band, it was on that boat she realised that there is no way back in life and so she decided to live it to the fullest. Within a few months five musicians were in a studio recording the debut "No Way Back", forming the Amsterdam based band "Channah". All songs were produced by Mouse and will be released in June 2009.

At the moment singer/songwriter Channah has almost finished her studies at the Pop Academy in Amsterdam where she enjoyed lessons from Anouk (co-writer of 'No Way Back'), Mathilde Santing, Vera van der Poel, Jack Pisters and many others.

De CD heb ik natuurlijk gekocht, 'Home' mag ik dus zo vaak beluisteren als het kan ;-) Ik hou het wel in de gaten waar en wanneer jullie optreden en zal er zeker weer naar toe gaan! Of ik ooit een concert in Nederland geef weet ik niet - ik heb helaas niet zo goede musici als jij. En er is lang niet zo'n grote belangstelling in Nederland voor elektronische muziek...
