CHAN P IS A TRIPLE THREAT...WRITER, RAPPER, AND SINGER AND SHE'S BARELY OVER 20 YEARS OLD...She came up with the name CHAN P from a metaphor that means CHANge People. She fully intends to do just that by recording her music and hopefully signing with a major record label. Chan P was born and raised in West Philadelphia, but moved out of state to attend school and finish her high school education. She began putting together rhymes at the early age of 13 for school friends and then began to write R&B songs. She began to put together rap songs and perform them at the age of 16 and then first recorded at the age of 17. In order to focus on her working career she took a break from rapping, but has begun again and she intends to stay until she rises to the top.
She is influenced by Philly artists such as The YOUNG GUNZ, BEANIE SIEGEL, FREEWAY, PEEDI PEEDI, THE WHOLE STATE PROPERTY GANG, CASSIDY, EVE, DJ JAZZY JEFF, JILL SCOTT and THE ROOTS. She also respects any female rapper who has earned respect in the rap game.
She can currently be heard on Prentiss Powell and DJ Tsunami's mixtape "Bring it to the streets vol. 1" and has many upcoming projects in the works.
