If you asked CHANTAL A. BORGELLA a few years ago where she was headed, the answer would have been medical school. Writing was a hobby that she did on her spare time because she never could express her thoughts to people.
At the tender age of 18, she experienced grief due to her friend, COLLEEK LUCKIE, passing and wrote her infamous poem, "Heaven Was A Mile Away." "I initially didn't want to give his mother the poem but my friends and family told me she would like it. My poem was read at his wake and I realized I can make an impact through my writing."
From there, she began to focus on her writing and branched off to entertainment writing, writing for RIGHT ON! and BLACK BEAT magazines since November 2006. A year later, November 2007, she did an article on AllHipHop.com on aspiring rapper, YOUNG MEL of NATURAL BORN HUSTLAZ ENTERTAINMENT "Doing the interview with Young Mel was fun. Despite the fact that I have known him for a few years, I never asked the "typical" questions that Jay-Z fans ask him because it was never my interest. I have faith in Young Mel and his label, NATURAL BORN HUSTLAZ. Natural Born Hustlaz Entertainment consists of two R&B singers- SAM HOOK and AK, three rappers- YOUNG MEL, SPANK, and YOUNG RAH plus a producer/rapper J DOT. They are all talented and I believe that they will evolve hip-hop. Their music is worth listening to.
