I started out in Quito (old town..really awesome architecture). I then headed out to Baños to look at the volcano (which erupted literally the day I left to go back home), then I went to Tena, then to Limoncocha and Cuenca, which was my personal favorite. I also went to Guayaquil, but it was sooo damn hot and mellow-looking that I just hopped back on the bus and went to Quito. I went to a lot of other smaller towns, but I don't remember the names...anyway, I met some really really awesome people along the way...including native Ecuadorians who let me crash at their houses and even cooked me really awesome vegan food. People would start polite conversation with me and offer me fruit or something to drink when I went on the buses. Definitely a really great experience!!
