Orchid was all about blending; taking the best of several genres and putting it all together to get the Orchid sound. Screaming vocals and harsh sounding music kept the kids screaming and dancin'.
Orchid disbanded in 2002.

the bodhisattva was travelling to see the buddha one day and he came upon a monk who was sitting on an anthill. He said "monk, why are you doing this" and the monk replied, "I am enduring suffering so i may be enlightened, please ask the buddha how many lives it will take me to become enlightened" the bd. agrees and continues until he came upon another monk, however this one was dancing and drinking and smoking sticky buds. He yelled "hey, bd, you goin to see the buddha?? ask him how many lives it will take for me to be enlightened" and bd agreed and went on. After he met with the all knowing, he came back upon the monk on the ant hill. In much agony the monk asked "did you ask him how many lives??" "7" The monk cried in pain "how can i endure 7?? I can barely stand this one" BD continued until he came upon the second monk "Hey how many lives??" BD said to him "my son, as many leaves as that tree has, so will you live until you are enlightened" the monk paused a moment, took a puff of sticky bud and said "hell yeah!!!!" and he was instantly enlightened
You should REALLY post-up the 'Totality' version of "Weekend At The Fire Academy". They have the original, or which-ever, version of it on other profiles...but I find the 'Totality' version somehow...more satisfying.
The clip at the beginning, from '2001', Makes the song THAT much better...er.
