Sounds Like
Wrocking and Rowling!
You know you’re addicted to Wizard WRock when...
You felt something big was missing in your life until you discovered that Wizard Rock actually does exist!
You get the screaming meemies if you can’t go on MySpace at least once daily.
Any task, no matter how miniscule, is impossible to do until you’ve signed into MySpace to check your inbox and get your streaming WRock music fix.
You know MySpace would benefit by adding the category “MyWRock” to their taskbar menu and front page.
At least half of your MySpace friends are WRock bands, individual members of the bands, or friends made as a direct result of wrock fandom.
Your profile contains at least seven bands with “Supplemental” in the display name. Or it has more WRock bands than Muggle world bands.
You thought nothing of my referring to non-WRock bands as the “Muggle World.” (You also automatically type “wrock” with a “w” without even thinking about it.)
You LIVE for WRock-related groups, broadcasts, podcasts, and blogs. Which are second only to, of course, WRock concerts themselves.
You’ve punked yourself out as a wizarding-type character for said concerts.
Life feels like it’s going to end if you can’t attend events like PotterRocks and Wrockstock Spooktacular.
Your portable mp3/media player is chock full of nothing except WRock music, podcasts, videos, and blogs.
You have developed a close relationship with at least 5 different bands. Or at least are on a first-name basis. Where else can you do that??
You find yourself belting out the most amusing lyrics around non-fans.
~ ”...No bloody owls, why can’t we do that?”
~ “Did you hear me, Professor Snape? I can do anything…”
~ “My dad is rich, and your dad is deeeeead…”
~ “…I’d like to solve the mystery between his legs…”
~ ”I’m the scaly monster that lives in Harry Potter’s chest…”
You scoff at people for not knowing proper WRock-friendly acronyms or abbreviations: HatP, DatM, TRL, OBatR, Hog Ex, HCE, ECP, SPC, WZRD...
You’ve converted at least 3 people into fellow WRock addicts.
You find regular radio music annoys or bores you to tears.
You’ve seriously contemplated starting a WRock band of your own.
You’ve embarrassed friends and family members because of your WRock/Potter obsession.
People have tried to claim they don’t know you because of this obsession.
Yet you don’t care who knows! You’re WRocker and proud!
Chaos of the Phoenix is in no way affiliated with Jo Rowling or Warner Bros. Nor do we know any actors or publishers who are responsible for distribution and marketing of Harry Potter. No money has been made from the projects that stem from this wizard rock band. Chaos simply loves Harry Potter [pun unintentional], and most things to do with him; this spiffing little disclaimer asks anybody reading it to please not sue. Pretty please. With a Harry on top [pun intended.]
Before I officially became a wrocker, I was [and still am] a writer...
Like the above NOVEL BANNER? It was created by a great friend and fan, Evil Maria! You can send her inboxed compliments of awesome HERE!
Well, what can I say...you can call me DJ Rae, that's my professional name. *makes quote marks* I loved wizard rock or wrock so much that I decided to become a wrocker myself.
This isn't so much a "band" as it is a project that stems from entirely too much wizard rock, fan fiction, and a love for nearly all things Harry Potter. The song "Talk Like A Magician" was actually recorded back in the dark ages, in the very beginning of Sept. '04. That was looong before I ever knew about the existence of wizard rock. But I live literally in the middle of nowhere, and VERY shortly after the song was tracked, I had to move.
I do a little bit of everything in the music genre...play some instruments, sing, write lyrics, do parodies... A friend of mine made on MySpace discovered all of these things, and I let slip to her I have an mp3, and she said, "You're a wizard wrocker, Rae! Start a band!" Therefore, that is what you see here.
I'm also an occasional co-host on a wrock-friendly podcast. I love the format, it's a true radio-spot podcast, that gets right down to the music and doesn't waste time on other aspects of Potter Fandom. Don't get me wrong, those others are just fine--it's just that sometimes, you really want wizard rock, and loads of it. How about 8 songs within a single 29-minute podcast? Yes, it's that good. Big happy thanks for Bella of The Purebloods band as she gave me lovely recommendations on how to create new songs for my band! Huuuge thanks for Russ of Creevey Crisis for doing the same! ^_^ Yayness of yay! I have loads of lyrics too, and I'm a dang good muse for if people get writer's block...so hit me up if you wanna.

Wheeeee! Thank you! Hopefully there will be some new ones up soon, including a rather cool parody of Dog Days (Frlorence and the Machine). Doesn't that title just make you think.....SIRIUS?
Hi! Thanks for your friendship, I love your sound, and also your interest in writing. It is a great thing to write. I hope you're enjoying your day. Blessings always, Embracing Angel :)
Im very pleased to read that! You are very welcome.you have an awesome page too! Im tryin to built a sopport group,so if you have a support buttom for your page, send it to me and if you don't mind we could s4s too.
actually, only one of us was there, and i didn't wear any HP stuff. i wasn't into HP then [now i've realised how stupid that was of me], i mostly just went for the novelty of it and because the Comedy Project is usually pretty good.
i was wearing a brown t-shirt that said "Official Taco Inspector" on it. actually, Matt Maggiacomo complimented me on my shirt, he said it was awesome! and i don't know if i saw you; i probably did, i just don't remember.
yeah, we're a pretty new band, we're just getting started! it's sooo cool to be a part of the wrock community!
also, this is Pete Lovegood speaking, and i just want to say: i was looking through your blogs on your myspace, and i went to the same Whompy/Catchlove/JFF show in Pocatello last year! it was sooo amazing! that was my first foray into the world of Wizard Rock, and i fell in love!
and question: where in Idaho are you situated? we live in Chubbuck, right by Pocatello. we should totally work out doing a show together!
At my school, I am going to have a fundraiser in order to support the LGBT. (If you don't know what that means, it's the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender parties.) Today is the Day of Silence, and I think it's a great kick off for this fundraiser. People are highly influenced by the power of music, and by the power of books. What does that mean? Wizard Rock. We are going to have a large get together where we are playing Wizard Rock music, watching Harry Potter, etc. All the money we earn is going to be donated to support these groups of people. If any of you have any clothing merchandise, or new - and affordable - c.d. 's, please message me, so I can purchase them from you and we can auction them off at this event! THANK YOU!
I remember that Valentine avatar of Doom LOL Well, I know it's been a while since I've written, and I'm sure you've been as busy as I've been, but I hope you are doing great and good things are happening for you. You deserve it! For me, Valentine's is a day to express some extra love for those I hold dear, my family and friends, which means you :D so,
to you! And I hope you have a magical day! Luv ya!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! “Now that He is Gone,’ was the first song we wrote so it means a lot to us that you liked it. You’re right; it is almost like a prequel to “Rules of Engagement.” We really like your music! You have a great sound, so big and dramatic.
Hey, thanks for sending a friend request my way. I am honored. I love all things Harry Potter and your music is way cool. I have accepted and I hope to see more music from you in the future!
