At 18 years old, Jay Nice is already "blowing up" the streets of Chicago! His current album, entitled "Chapter One", has already created massive hype from hip-hop lovers all over the Midwest. He is a Phenomenal artist who is, without a question, one of the best in his time. The skills that are being brought every time he steps on stage are Astonishing! This man really pours his heart and soul into music while also putting special emphasis in his songs, which make him one of the more elite and creative emcee's in the Hip-Hop category. Perfect examples such as “Captain Cool,” “Chapter One,” and "This is Hip-Hop,” will perfectly show the world how much talent and technique he carries along with him that make him a complete artist. Since he was only 8 years old, Jonathan Quinones (Jay Nice), began his quest for stardom. While surviving through the harsh realities of poverty, he kept his head up while shedding pain through music. Ten years later, he finds himself amongst the best underground artists there is. He is not just an emcee, but also an amazing songwriter and lyricist! Aside from creating his own music, Jonathan also creates original compositions for other up and coming R&B artists. He has been around long enough and has seen many artists come and go. While slowly becoming the renaissance of hip-hop at such a young age, he has received lots of experience in the music business by managing himself as an artist.

"It ain't really a surprise for me. I try doing my best every time I touch the microphone. I rememba back in third grade we had to fill out, on paper, what we wanted to be in the future. I was the one of the first done. I've always known I wanted to be an emcee. I love preaching in what I believe. I just loved writing music, even back in the day nam sayin' ? It's kinda funny cuz I look back at that and I really feel like it happened yesterday. Through elementary, middle, and high school, I was always one of the better known people at the school. I ain't even gon front, I love the attention naw mean? haha I've always liked being in front of the crowd and being known. That's why I love doing shows and concerts because it's a trill when your out there naw mean? It's fun, real fun! But I wouldn't go out there saying that I'm phenomenal or anything like that...that you people say. I mean some people will think that, others won't. I feel I'm just me and I'm serious about music. I would however say that I'm not like any other artist out there. But as far as being phenomenal, I'll let the fans and media handle that one."

His Mother came to America in 1978, after coming from her native country in Belize. She settled in with a family friend in Queens, New York and worked thought the struggle of the harsh and difficult city life. After some time, she meant her soon to be husband, where many years after, Jonathan was born.
In 1995, His parents got a divorce. With low Budget jobs and Much bills to pay, his mother decided to move from Providence, Rhode Island (where Jonathan was born) to Waukegan, IL along with his two brothers.
It was there where Jay Nice began to realize that his voice needed to be herd. At age 8 , he started writing songs about the harsh and difficult times he dealt with growing up as a child. As time went on, times got much better. By Age 13, Jonathan began to get serious with music. Writing Lyrics was an every day hobby. He did lots of shows in fort of his peers but he knew he'd have to age up more to gain experience and become even more successful.
At age 16, after experiencing a series of events that led him to attend his 3rd High School in only the first semester, he continued to write songs and bought a home studio to Start recording his songs. He later gained the name "Jay Nice" because of a fan base that thought he had a "Nice" flow while preforming. Now at the ripe age of 18 years old, he is finally turning his dreams into reality. His brand new album is making heads turn anywhere possible. Now touring, Jay Nice hopes to create an even larger fan base while sharing his thoughts and opinions with the world around him. While also receiving massive radio play, he continues to work with other artist on different projects, record new songs, and perform anywhere possible. Contact Jay Nice to perform at your gig!!!!!
