Chacma-one of the most dangerous species of baboon-synonym of ferocity, aggression, dynamism and unpredictability. CHAQMA-its us (why Q? well, why not?!) We want our music to be characterized by similar features. That desire has merged our six and it pushes us forward despite an awful lot of obstacles that weve encountered on our way. Fuck it! Only those persistent can achieve their goal! And IT has always been precise, starting from the moment when Wojtek Lotz came up with an idea of cobbling together a band, which would create music on a concrete level. Then we had to cope with some worse periods concerning team shuffles, but today CHAQMA has eventually started to roar with a full mouth.
The whole history of the band dates back to 2003. The founder as well as composer of the music is Voytas. It started with his guitar ideas and overall musical visions. In this time, strong outlines of our current tracks appeared. Dogged persistence, determination, clear and for some both unrealistic and unreachable goal has always led him towards one direction, no way back. Forward and once again forward, with no fucking compromises, clearly, with no limits, no bullshit. There were lots of changes within the ranks of our band,but finally we managed to reach that something which enables us to work in top gear, till the moment when every part of the band is certain, clear, predictable, and whats most important musically declared.
Our present material has its beginning in Voytas guitar samples tracks. Next elements added to the riff were drums, another guitar, bass, vocals and electronics. Such sequence of creating composition helps us to build one efficient organ. From the moment the concept of CHAQMA sprang up its striking power and strength of action has increased six times. Six people making todays squad share the same determination, musical goals and attitude to music. It makes it easier for us to overcome each difficulty and wade through them to the marked goal. CHAQMA has never sounded better then now. And how it sounds? We hope that everyone will be able to check it out soon and after that express a positive opinion(to be continued)...
