Whats Up Magazine Review:.. One may scratch their head when wondering why anyone would release a live practice room demo and then have the guts to send it in for review. But in the case of Fujin, it actually works. The 9-song DIY is guitar, drums, and words that are really cool songs with a Pavement type thing going on, snazzy changes, great guitar tones and delays reminiscent of The Church from the late 80’s and Stephen Malkmus-like vocal stylings. So many comparisons I guess can be annoying, but this stuff has that type of potential. These cats should get in the studio with a bass player and co-producer and lay these tunes down. We will then surely hear lots from them in the future. There is no contact info for Fujin so make sure to keep your ears open. -Boris Budd ...... -
