Aus dieser Zeit stammt auch der Bandname, welcher wegen des klangvollen Sounds aus England mitgebracht wurde. Aber der eigentliche Start war 1993, als Pascal Zwyssig zum Line-Up stieß. Die nächsten Jahre der Band waren geprägt durch einige Besetzungswechsel. Es folgten viele Konzerte (Clubshows, Festivals) mit teilweise namhaften Acts, 4 Demos und eine EP, bis sich 2009 das jetzige Line-Up fand. Für die Lead Vocals ist Peter Hochuli zuständig, welcher mit seiner Bühnenpräsenz und seiner Powerstimme das Publikum zu begeistern vermag. Die beiden Gitarristen (Pascal Zwyssig, Andy Dormann) ziehen das Publikum mit ihrem druckvollen Rhythmussound, sowie virtuosen Soloeinlagen sofort in ihren Bann. Die Rhythmussektion (Riodi Halter - Drums und Markus Flury - Bass) sorgt für einen angemessenen Punch, der das Fundament dieser hart rockenden Truppe ausmacht. „We are… CHARING CROSS" - hiess der erste Longplayer, den die Band selbst produziert und gemischt hat. Den Sound der Schweizer kann man als einen abwechslungsreichen Mix aus stampfenden Hard Rock-Songs, melodiösen Heavy Metal Nummern und Balladen bezeichnen - und repräsentiert somit genau das, wofür der Name CHARING CROSS schon seit Jahren steht. Die Fortsetzung folgt nun 2013 mit dem Album „SINSPIRATION". BIOGRAPHY While the history of CHARING CROSS goes back into the late eighties, the actual beginning of the band as we know them today, dates back to 1993, when Pascal Zwyssig, the longest member of the current line up, joined the group. During the following years, the history of the Swiss outfit was marked by many line-up changes. During all this time, the band played numerous concerts (club shows, festivals, Ice Hockey World Championship 09) with some renowned acts such as NAZARETH, SUZIE QUATTRO and SOUL SIRKUS, recorded 4 demos and one EP, until at last in 2009 the current line-up was completed. Peter Hochuli, singer and front man of CHARING CROSS, ensnares the audience with his performance and stage presence. The guitar section, consisting of Pascal Zwyssig and Andy Dormann, convinces with their powerful rhythm sound and virtuous solos. Riodi Halter (drums) and Markus Flury (bass) ensure the matching driving groove, which creates the rhythm fundament of CHARING CROSS. „We are… CHARING CROSS" – was the name for CHARING CROSS' first full length album which was produced and mixed by the band itself..
