It is very hard to say who my heroes are. Do I choose the grandparents who took in an infant even though they'd raised their kids? Do I choose the birth mother who despite being told she should never have kids, had me anyway? Do I choose all the people who are sole caregivers to a terminally ill/disabled person? My grandparents adopted me when I was just shy of 2. My real mom should never have had me but did. And having been there and done that with being the sole caregiver to a terminally ill person, I admire anyone who has done so or is doing so now.
