   Charity gigs.....'s Blurbs
About me:

Charity gigs is a group of people working together to put on fundraising events for charity...pretty much what it says on the tin! It started because Helen wanted to run the London Marathon and has continued because Leonie's about to take off to the unknown doing development work with VSO...But aside from raising money for good causes the point to Charity gigs is to get people to work together to put together nights where everybody has a wicked time...simple!

Who I'd like to meet:
Bands, bands, bands and more bands!!! If you want to gig for charity, contact me! Also anyone with lots of energy, great ideas who wants to get involved and have a laugh.

    The Stroke Association

    Stroke Association

    Oct 8 2007 2:20 PM

Looking for adventure with a feel-good factor? Look no further.
The Stroke Association is seeking adventurous people for some truly fantastic sponsored events (skydiving, abseiling, marathon-ing, etc) in 2007/08.
Check out the blog on our MySpace page for more details or contact Esther Wright on 0121 441 6413 or ewright@stroke.org.uk
A bit of inspiration: Elise was 12 when she had her stroke – she’s now 15 and, despite the huge disabilities she incurred as a result of the stroke (including right side paralysis and speech difficulties), she recently decided she wanted to climb a mountain. She managed to get to within 70m of the summit of Sugar Loaf Mountain in South Wales before bad weather got the better of her. She is determined to go back next year and get “right to the top”!
Please pass this message along to your MySpace friends – we depend on the support of people like you.
